Fort Kochi is a must place to visit when you are in the city of Kochin, Kochi or Cochin, you can call it in any way.

This small and little charming town in Kerala has been attracting tourists from all parts of the country and also can be termed as the historic jewel of south India.

People often visit the area of Fort Kochi, also known as old Kochi and it is very famous for its rich history, spices, Kathakali dancing and the iconic fishing nets.

It took us just an uber and 25 minutes time from our hotel to reach Fort Kochi. Considering its strategic location, Kochi has been the center for international trade via sea routes for almost over 600 years now.

Moving on, I could not resists myself when the smell of freshly cooked fish got around. Fish curry and rice is a delicious combination that you must try when you are in here. It was truly a highly satisfying experience for my belly.

Cruise At Kochi

One more activity that people can indulge in when around Fort Kochi is doing a sunset cruise. Its a great way to see the famous Chinese fishing nets from the water and also enjoy the Kochi backwaters. If lucky one can also spot dolphins when on the cruise.
