The Shrikhand Mahadev trek is a pilgrim trail that leads to the Shrikhand Mahadev peak (5227 meters/17150 ft.) named after Lord Shiva.
The key attraction of this trek is the breathtaking view of the Himalayan ranges from Parvati valley of Kullu, Jorkandan, Rangrik ranges of Kinnaur and Hansbeshan and other surrounding peaks in the south east of Satluj river.
The trek can be done either from Nirmand side or Arsu side. The popular and widely travelled route is from the Nirmand Jaon village side.
Difficult gradients. Steep incline trek going through rough glaciers covers, rocky moraine path. People with no or less High altitude trekking experience should not attempt this trek.
Buses are available from Shimla ISBT.Take a cab/ localbus from Shimla to Rampur 130 Kms, then to Jaun village via Nirmand (Kullu). Last 8 Kms from Bagi pul to Jaun is a kuccha road.
trekking duration- 3 days
best season - late may till oct
Hi Bharat, Shrikhand Mahadev is a 3-day trek. It is a bit difficult hence you need to be in good shape. Usually, Jaun Village or Shingaarh is the base camp. It's best to do it with a guide since the trail isn't clearly marked. Best time to do it is from May to June end or September to mid-October.
It's better to start a new blog for your adventures...There is more chance of getting sponsorship if your blog is impressive and popular..There are couples who got sponsorship by writing blogs..Happy journey
Immigration and Checkpoints Authority now allow for a 96-hour Visa Free Transit Facility for Indians, on one leg of their trip (outbound or return) when travelling from India to a third-country by air. To be admitted Visa Free, here are the requirements for Indian passengers:
You need to have a valid onward air ticket with journey commencing within 96-hours of arrival.
You need a valid visa/long-term pass (with a validity of at least 1 month from the date of entry into Singapore) issued by the any of the following countries:
Australia
Canada
Japan
New Zealand
United Kingdom
United States of America
Germany
Switzerland
Single Journey Visas (SJV) issued by the above countries are also acceptable when transiting through Singapore on the onward or return leg of the same journey. For those on the return leg of the journey, i.e. after the SJV has been utilized, the following conditions must be met:
The traveller travels directly from the country that issued the SJV, on route through Singapore, directly back to the home country; and
The traveller has not returned to their home country since the SJV was last utilized.
How does this work?
So if you have long term residency or visas (such as the US B1/B2) on your passport, you should be able to go through to Singapore without a visa when travelling to any country. Let us say, you are doing a Mumbai-Singapore-Seoul trip and you would like to enter Singapore for a 2 night halt, you could flash your 5-year or 10-year American visa (B1/B2 at the least), and go into Singapore.
However, if you have a single visit visa to Japan, then you can only do, for example, a Mumbai-Singapore-Tokyo trip, and stop at Singapore on one of the legs of your journey.
It does strike me as odd that instead of the entire Schengen Zone, Visa Free Transit is offered only against long term Visa issued specifically by Germany and Switzerland.
Hi Rohit, here is something from the the official airport site: "Foreigners transiting in Singapore will not require visas if they remain within the transit area of Changi Airport (Terminals 1, 2 and 3) and do not pass through Singapore Immigration." Therefore, if you don't plan to leave the airport then you don't need a transit visa for your layover.
You can check trektrails - https://trektrails.in/. Had taken a backpacking trip with them to Manali, Himachal Pradesh and the experience was amazing. All you have to do is check out the upcoming treks on their website or facebook page and enroll for the ones you want to undertake. Bali's wet season begins at the end of October and lasts until the following April. It's a humid ... Novemberis normally characterised by on and off rain.Although Bali is climatically comfortable throughout the year, and is a year-round destination, the best time to visit Bali is from April to October, the summer months in Bali. october - March: Balisees rainfall during these months, so you may want to avoid this half of the year if you're planning your vacation.
May, June and July are generally considered to be the best time to travel to Bali in terms of the weather. However, depending on whether the traveler is a surfer or explorer, preferences may change. During the dry season, May to October, the western side of the peninsula creates some of the world's best waves.
Hi, end of October and beginning of November is a pleasant time to visit Bali. It's not rainy season there so you shouldn't face any issues. The rainy season kicks in from second week of November. I'd also recommend you visit Jatiluwih Rice Terraces and Besakih temple while there.
Its better to plan your halt at Keylong or Jispa, instead of Sarchu;solely for the distance. We visited Leh last september and was stuck badly by landslide just before Keylong, but couldn't cross it for over 6 hours. We crossed after a bit of clearance on foot just before dark, but our car could not cross before 4 am the next day.So plan for short breaks.
Hi Kunal, I personally prefer Sarchu because it divides the journey from Manali to Leh in half. Accommodation and restaurants are on par in both places.
Hi Monisha, November is a great time to go on a honeymoon since lot of Indian destinations can be visited due to a cooler climate. Within India, I recommend Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Kerala, Coorg (Karnataka) or Rajasthan. Internationally, you can go to Sri Lanka, Maldives, Seychelles, Bali, Dubai, Turkey or Egypt. Go through the attached articles for a complete list of Indian and International honeymoon destinations.
Hi Tanmay, monsoon is the best time to explore places around Pune. Following places are best to visit right now: Thosegar Falls, Tapola, Bhimashankar, Karnala and Kamshet. Kolad, Kalsubai Peak and Malshej Ghat are more than 100km away from Pune but they are worth visiting. For more options, read the attached article.
Hi Tanmay! If you're in Pune during Monsoon, then It's heaven and you'll have plenty of options.
To feel the touch of adventure :- You can try numerous trekking sites/forts in Lonavala area or Nagar area such as Kalsubai or Harishchandragarh
If you just want to enjoy driving through scenic roads surrounded by waterfalls, then you can head to Malshej Ghat, Bhor Ghat or Tahmini Ghat. You can take a look on this as well:- https://www.tripoto.com/trip/malshej-ghat-a-trail-through-waterfalls
If you like relaxing in some hill statation then, head to Mahabaleshwar, Matheran or Lonavala-Khandala
If you are planning to chill at beaches, then drive to Diveghar or Kashid Beach through scenic roads of Konkan.

HAPPY TRAVELLING ☺️
Hi Tanmay, Himachal Pradesh is going through some government face-lifting. Hotels, campsites and restaurants have been shut down in Malana and Kheerganga. I'd advice you look at alternate options in Himachal like Dharamshala/McLodganj, Kinnaur Valley or Spiti Valley. July and August are monsoon months in Himachal. Therefore, it is best to wait till September.
Hi Naini, following four buses that leave from Majnu Ka Tilla at 10:30: Northern Travels, City Land Travels, Asian Volvo Holiday, My Trip Maker. All of them are AC buses and take about 12 to 13 hours to reach Manali. Asian Volvo Holiday is an exception as it takes 16 hours to reach Manali.
Following cities have some of the best 4th of July fireworks: New York City, Washington DC, San Diego, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Addison (Texas) and Nashville.
Hi Arjun, The entire European continent is filled with wonders. What time of the year are you planning to visit and what are some of travel interests? Do you like nature, beaches, old cities, history, adventure, wine and food or something else? I can give suggestions based on time of the year and interests.

sajjan garh palace, taj lake palace and city palace too. you can feel refresh air which hive u refreshment in your life.
Hi Jay, Udaipur, the City of Lakes is an absolute beauty after the rains. Lake Pichola is bubbling with water. Sajjangarh Palace, also known as Monsoon Palace, is surrounded by greenery. Even the surrounding hills are clad in green. A 3-day trip is ideal of Udaipur as it gives you two days to explore attractions in and around Udaipur and one day to visit Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur Jain Temple.
