Bangalore is comparatively nearest to reach Coorg. There are two routes, see which is suitable for you.
Via Mysore Madikeri highway - It takes 6 hours to reach Coorg. Another route is Nagarhole route which is 7 hours drive. You could cover Mysore for a day and stop by to visit Palace, zoo and Chamundi temple. From Mysore ooty is nearby popular for boating, peaks and gardens. Fruits, veggies are fresh along with homemade chocolates. Besides to cover you could stop by Nanjangud Shiva temple, Bandipur anyways you are visiting and Wayanad. Once we did a trip from Mysore to ooty, Wayanad and Coorg. It was 10 days trip.
The choice is totally yours. If you prefer solo travel then it’s only you and yourself more. You travel at your own pace. In group travel you are likely to meet like minded people, likely to be in a group that might allow you to form life long friendships. I have done group travel only so far, though my preference would always be solo travel for I feel I could experience the full essence of travel.
Solo travel -
You have the freedom to make your own decisions. Doing whatever your heart desires is liberating. Travelling alone can often be risky and especially if you are travelling to a foreign country.
The way you use your freedom and spend your time and money is completely up to you.
Being on your own on the road will help you gain more valuable skills and makes you a more confident person.
group travel -
You'll meet new people While traveling, it's not always easy to make lasting connections.
group travel offers you safety and immediate help. But here you have to make sacrifices and compromise. Traveling in a group is more fun. You don't have to focus as much on safety or getting around, so you can relax and enjoy yourself more fully.
For the month of May, Ooty is the best place to visit. The climate is pleasant and ooty trip will take max 2-3 days to cover all its scenic beauty. a long weekend trip can work perfectly.

Sunset at Bandra and Juhu is great Nightlife is great in mumbai with flea markets to stroll by.
You could catch sunset at one of the unpopular beaches like rajodi or suruchi beach. Not many know of these! If you travel a bit offbeat, there's an evergreen waterfall at kalmandavi in jawahar, you could swim there. You could also visit juhi beach, soho house in the night. It's a stretch of land with water on both sides and place to sit in between, with the whole place lit with fairy lights. Less crowded at night. You can also visit the Asiatic Library. it's one of the largest in India and a nice place to chat at night on the stairs in the moonlight.
If you are looking for adventurous, kindly travel by local trains here. It's cheap but the experience is enriching!

The distance between Maa Vaishnodevi temple and Srinagar is 253kms that is 7 hours journey by road. By air if you are planning to travel, you need to take a road journey of three hours to Jammu airport then fly for 2 hours to Srinagar. There are trains from Katra to Srinagar, but you have to check if they are operational. It’s an overnight journey. By bus from Katra it takes about 10 hours to reach Srinagar. For this from the temple you need to travel to Katra by cab or local bus for an hour to Katra. Then catch another bus to Srinagar.

There seems to be trains to Lumbini which go via gorakhpur. from Delhi. To travel from Allahabad you need to fly till Gorakhpur from Allahabad airport and then on take a cab to Kathmandu. Otherwise to Kathmandu there are no trains. From Jammu and Kashmir via Sunali border there is a train to Kathmandu. Else you have to take passenger trains to Jainagar from Jammu.
