It was early in the morning and my brother was reading newspaper.Suddenly he realised that some loud music sound is hitting in our living area.He jumped of his couch and took his camera and ran away to the door I was stunned to see him and asked curiously what happens to you....
He said today is the day when the most happening Gay/Homosexual carnival is pass on to our street.Then what I grab my camera and went out to capture these beautiful clicks which are so close to my heart that I have got this opportunity to see the Scandinavian most secret carnival.
I don't know the much history behind it but yes this LGBT community ( Lesbian , Gay , biosexual , transgender and others)of Denmark was celebrating 20 years anniversary same sex partnership.
Denmark is a country where people believe in live in relationships rather than marriage.When i was solo travelling to this country in the year 2009 i felt that i was lucky to see this carnival generally most of us haven't heard about something like this also happens in the world.Now of course people have more moderate view about LGBT community but in the year 2009 it was the different scenario in India and other parts of world.
The people from the same sex were dressed up in fancy dresses and applied loud makeup and only the LGBT community people can be a part of this carnival if you are not a homosexual person and somebody recognises you it is an offence.
All the pictures are taken by me they are genuine and not captured from any other sources.
They were passing trough to frederiksberg street where i was staying with my brother and Sister in law.After capturing them we felt so happy that something new we have experienced today.Its a most talked and discussed carnival of that time the people in Denmark are so forward and ahead from any of the country.
My solo escape to the Denmark was about 3 months and this one was the best experience so far.
