First international trips are always little extra special and memorable, So is mine!!!
Dubai, UAE is generally considered being a couple/romantic destination but its quite opposite - adventure place with madness that can be enjoyed with friends and family.
Well, i choose to go with my 3 best friends, one of them joined us from Scotland, UK.
It was a very budget friendly and perfect number of days trip.
Motto: To cover all "must-go" places.
Number of days: 5 days
🛌Stay: Dubai backpacker hostel, Basha heights.
Yes, we cut down a lot on stay and choose hostel. Major reason to make new friends and guess what i did! Met a girl from Alexandria, Egypt and got to know so much a her native and also dubai as she was working for a company. She happened to tell me about this amazing site https://ladiesnightdubai.com/ (check it out for all crazy parties - day and location wise)
Dubai offers ALOT of Fancy stay offcourse, Google would help better😉
💸Budget: Approx 95,000INR inclusive of flights, stay, all bookings and misc.
Booking flights around 2months prior is best to have good offer. We booked in April for a June end trip costing 30,000INR per person 2 way, which is a pretty cheap deal.
📑Bookings: "Rayna tours" this is an app where we can do bookings for all kind of tourism spots in any country. The arrangements are really good and the rates are totally worth, would rate it 10/10. Highly recommended. They also have excellent logistics system. Here are some other recommended links for bookings and details for Dubai - www.thedubaiaquarium.com, www.dubai-tickets.co
🌤️Last but not the least - Weather:
Well, anyone would regret going to a dessert place in 51 degrees Celsius but it was worth it all. Heat couldn't beat our excitement and enthusiasm cause hello!! It's Dubai.. literally AC at every damn place 😂
Rayna tours had arranged for a hotel pick in a mini bus. It was an hour ride to Abu Dhabi. The entrance was massive, with all souvenir and food stores on the ground level. Cafes with different themes on other 2 floors. On the very top was the main start of the actual Ferrari world. Show your prebooked tickets over the counter and they will guide you through the venue. Passes can be purchased on the counter as well but not during season. We went on rides with an alternate switch of super-fast and normal, feeling the adrenaline rush all the time. Avoid eating or drinking in between rides.
3 major roller coasters and other crazy rides. I do get flashbacks of the Rossa f1 ride..those chills! This place certainly doesn't need much description but yes obviously a GO-TO place in a Dubai trip. Do watch ride videos on you tube.
One of the best night place to relax. It's a walk by sea side or rather port side. Walking just by the port with the 360 degree view of cruises, cafes, people enjoying food and sheesha by the port. There are mind blowing theme cafes, Mexican, Lebanese, Chinese, and the list goes on. Vegetarians don't worry! You will find plenty of options here. It is also a start point for most of the yatch and cruise. Yatch packages are for day & night (Details available in Rayna tour App) there are plenty of Yatch parties as well.
Entry is from Dubai Mall, most of the people get confused and Exiting from Burj takes you to Dubai Mall. Plan a full day here - shopping, aquarium, amazing food, fountain show, Burj Khalifa view. There are different packages to visit floors on Burj, only few floors are accessible for tourist and can be prebooked online (Rayna Tours - App). We took a combo of 124th & 125th floor, and it was worth it. There are more higher floors as well but if just want to take the feel of being on the burj then those 2 floors are good enough. A huge store of amazing souvenirs and an English coffee shop are also on one of the floors. I would recommend eating before you visit here as the coffee shop have very niche choice of stuff to eat and you might end up starving.
The view is just mesmerizing. Everything about it is just so high tech, right from the entry till the end.
In Dubai Mall, you will find every top brand here for shopping. House of candy is just a bliss for a sweet tooth. For foodie people like me. Food court is your place with multiple cuisine from Indian Street food to continental. For Mexican lovers, must try something yummy from "Taqado- Mexican Kitchen"
Located on the other end of Dubai Mall check 'Time-out' market is filled luxury stores for handcrafted Arabian and Turkish stuff.
The aquarium (Famous named as 'Dubai Mall Aquarium') located inside the mall, is one of the largest aquarium in the world and takes almost 1 hours to watch complete tunnel. Underwater zoo is located in Level 2 and takes about 1.5 hours if you wish to stay longer and watch shows.
Access to the aquarium tunnel and different zones of the underwater zoo can be taken at the counter itself but on a safer side pre-booking is advisable.
Light and Fountain show starts at 6pm until 11pm every 30 mins. DO-NOT do any bookings for the fountain show. You can have amazing view right from the bridge on the other end of Dubai Mall. As famous as it is, a sight to watch and enjoy.
Spend the evening @ Dubai Marina road at a Beach sheesha spot "Smoky Beach" with beautiful view. Dubai marina road is sea shore with Beach activities in day time but turns into a happening party Street by night. The street offers plenty of sheesha cafes by the beach, food stalls, bars & restro.
Museum of the Future (MOTF), the structure has Arabic Calligraphy Design inside out. Booking is a MOST of this place, strictly no walk-ins.
It's a gateway to the future world. Each floor has different themed attraction with gigantic theaters and exhibition or rather display of how future will be. From nature - Amazon rainforest, robots, drones, flying cars, space travel experience and high tech - AI it covers every aspect of how life will be in future. It's expensive compared to other attractions in Dubai but totally worth.
Overnight Desert Safari in Dubai is a perfect dessert experience. So, lot of research to made sure we get the best Arabian experience and would recommend 'Rayna tours' and www.thrillophilia.com/tours/desert-safari-overnight for best deal. We booked via Rayna Tours, transit was really smooth, they had cars arranged for pick and drop from stay location for each group. Safari experience started with super bumpy sand drive in a XUV with professional driver to take us at the camp site, which was beautifully organized and had multitude of activities await like a camel ride, sandboarding, Self-Drive Quad Bike Safari and sand bike.
Charges for Quad bike: 10K INR each, with a capacity of 2 each & Sand bike: 5K INR each, with capacity of 1 each. We opted for Quad Bikes, had a person allotted who drove along with us in the dessert and guided us. Post this, we hopped in for an adrenaline experience of Unique dessert experience in a Toyota.
Then, it was time to sit down to a tasty barbecue dinner of local and international dishes while watching live cultural performances. Traditional belly dancing and tanoura shows before sleeping in a luxurious tent with a real bed was mesmerizing. Our group of 4 were the only people for the overnight stay during that season of the year, we have royal Abrian sheesha all for ourselves until midnight.
Breakfast was included in the package with a wide verity of options post breakfast we headed back towards the city.
The place needs no description. Dubai - City of Gold. There are many ways to reach gold souk Buses, ferries, taxi & metro.
Best way to reach Gold Souk is definitely an inexpensive Abra ride across Dubai Creek - With old style buildings around the ferry ride gives a turkey feels. Board a ferry (every 15-20 mins) from Abra Station South Bur Dubai, less crowded + extremely pocket friendly ferry costing 5 INR per person per ride.
'Souk' stands for "Market". While we focused only on Gold Souk one can combine your visit with nearby souks like Naif (Music), Spice, textile. The ferry dropped us at a very less crowded point while walking towards Souk there are many street stores for shopping and food stalls. After spending 1st half of the day in gold souk we headed back to the ferry for our next destination.
Palm Jumeirah is a pool of luxury hotels. One might assume these to be too expensive but surprisingly lot of amazing hotels offers mind blowing packages for day and stay.
Apart from Taj groups, the best of all is "AURA SKYPOOL Dubai". This Lounge is the world’s highest 360° infinity pool offering incredible views of the iconic Dubai skyline, Palm Jumeirah and the glistening horizon of the Arabian Gulf. AURA is a one-of-a-kind experience triggering all the senses, and a truly mesmerizing spot to capture the essence Dubai at new heights. Bookings are into 3 slots: Early morning, Morning and Afternoon until late evening. Minimum 1 week prior booking is a must, this place has no walks in. The website itself provides end-to-end details https://auraskypool.com/
We booked another incredible place on Plam Jumeirah - Beach By FIVE hotel and resorts.
Now this place had some really eye catchy offers - Monday- Wednesday Ladies Free Access/ Gents AED300 Fully Redeemable and Thursday- Sunday Ladies AED200/ Gents AED300 Fully Redeemable.
Far away from any average Dubai beach resort this place offers 3 venues in one: an impressive beach deck, luxury beach club home to double width sun loungers, VIP cabanas, in the beach jacuzzis (yes, really) with stunning skyline view as well a beautiful glass lined pool with a chandelier and outstanding panoramic views of the Dubai Marina and Arabian Gulf.
With no further delay we just booked a table next to pool and hopped right inn. Evening was just bliss right at the corner spot of the pool. Ordered some yummy food which was fully redeemable in the package. As the sun went down, we shifted to beach side lounge area.
We ordered a sheesha, some drinks and yummy food. Spend almost midnight here. Do not forget to order a malt, the bar tender will do a little juggling show for you. This was the best and very serene evening I would say. Happen to make few new friends here as well. This place offers some amazing stay offers as well, like Pay 3 Stay 4 / Pay 6 Stay 8 but Available only on our website bookings, offering six different swimming pools around the resort. If you are a water person and a fan of Aqua-man then this is the place for you. Atlantis Dubai is an iconic world of amazement across stays, dining, entertainment, attractions and wellness. Atlantis consist of The Royal, The palm and Aqua venture. I would rather focus just on Aqua venture - world’s largest waterpark with 105 slides.
We did prebooking and planned our day accordingly. Make sure to carry smart and comfy water outfits because there are huge slide rides. 'Leap of Faith' was the best and thrilling experience with crazy adrenaline rush.
Above are another set of slides - World's longest Family slide: With capacity of 5 people at a time and World's tallest slide: for solo. This water park is divided into 4 main towers with mix of different type of slides along with dolphin and sea lion experiences in a different area. MUST TRY - Lazy pool, find yourself just floating in the most lethargic pool.
Choose Your Aquaventure Ticket wisely as there as again many combo options for passes. Check out complete details on https://www.atlantis.com/dubai/atlantis-aquaventure
After having some brain freezing World's largest waterpark experience, we headed back to our hostel to pick up our luggage and the trip ended with a final view of Dubai frame on your way back to airport!
