A city known to be one of the most progressive regions in the Middle East, Dubai has undergone a huge transformation.

Dubai has come a long way in terms of development over the last 40 years. 50 years ago, Dubai was a sleepy trading port that sprang up out of the Middle East's desert sands. Today, it is more lavish that any other city in the world.

Indulgent, glamorous, and progressive would be fitting adjectives to describe Dubai.

Dubai city is an unmatched man-made masterpiece. With stunning architecture, fancy hotels, shopping festivals, majestic skyscrapers, glittering skylines, and giant shopping malls, Dubai is truly a paradise for scores of tourists from around the world.

Dubai Trip Experience: Dubai is such a clean; well managed and maintained city. Thanks to the stringent laws; people are very responsible in every way. Dubai is slightly expensive when you are travelling from India, but as a Tourist when you visit Dubai you would feel the money spent is really worth it.

Dubai is a place where you would need to walk a lot but it is not really stressful, you would love walking on the roads, it is a great experience. There are other modes of transport especially Metro; Bus are reasonable comparatively.

We tried to cover most tourist attractions within Dubai and did cover a lot of places on our own. Travelling and exploring Dubai by your own is very safe and metro is a good mode I have listed down our day wise list of places covered during our trip.

Hotel Recommendations: Citymax Hotel, Bur Dubai, budget friendly hotel.

Hotel is located close the ADCB metro (15 mins walkable distance), Meena Bazaar is (15 mins walkable). There are couple of restaurants within the hotel premises. Hotel is usually flocked with Indian visitors and the breakfast buffet is good.

Day 1

Then proceeded to the most interesting parts i.e. the Modern side of Dubai.

Burj Al Arab: A 5-star luxury hotel, is designed to resemble the sail of a ship.

It has a helipad near the roof, at a height of 210 m (689 ft) above ground.

Located in the Umm Suqeim area, it is also locally known as Umm Suqeim Beach or Sunset Beach.

Palm Jumeirah: The Palm Jumeirah is an archipelago of artificial islands on the Persian Gulf in Jumeirah, Dubai.

Fun Fact - The island features one of the largest man-made marinas in the world! Only rock and sand were used to build Palm Jumeirah—no steel or concrete. The island covers 5.72 square kilometers, as big as 600 football pitches! Palm Jumeirah has its own monorail, which connects to Dubai's coastline.

The Palm tree shaped artistic man-made island is a treat to watch. Palm Jumeirah island is known for glitzy hotels, posh apartment towers and upmarket global restaurants.

Dubai Mall: After the half day Dubai City tour we were dropped to Dubai Mall for our upcoming and most interesting activity i.e. Burj Khalifa At the Top View.

Before talking about Burj Khalifa, I would share my views on the Dubai Mall.

Terms as the largest mall in the world by total land area; this mall has almost all the top brands in the world. Dubai Mall also has a lot of attractions like Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo; Dubai Dino; KidZania, etc.

The mall is so huge, one can spend an entire day exploring the mall.

Travel Tips to Dubai Mall: Metro is very well connected to the Dubai Mall.

Burj Khalifa: Standing at 828 metres (2,722 feet) tall above sea level, Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest building. The best man-made structure i have every come across. It contains offices, hotels, restaurants, and luxury residences in its 163 floors.

The fountain show should not be missed that takes places daily near Burj Khalifa in the space of every 30 minutes.

Burj Khalifa At the Top: The 360-degree observation decks at levels 125 and 124 is just majestic you can view the entire city right from the Top of Burj Khalifa; a must visit if you are travelling for the first time.

We had opted for the Burj Khalifa view from 125th floor. The tickets are available online as well as can be booked by Travel agents.

The observation deck view is classified as Prime and Non Prime Hours. Prime Hours are during the morning and Non-prime hours are in the evening.

You would head up to the tower’s 124th and 125th floor in just 35 seconds onboard the world's fastest elevator.

We liked the view in the evening (Non-Prime Hours) as we could see the entire city filled with lights; that looked really special.

Burj Khalifa - Tallest building in the world.

Day 3

Museum of the Future: A landmark devoted to innovative and futuristic ideologies. The Museum of the Future is a torus-shaped building with windows in the form of a poem about the future, written by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai. Founded by the Dubai Future Foundation.

We had to choose between the Dubai Frame or Museum of the Future and we did a good decision to go ahead with Museum of the Future.

Museum of the Future is a place where you will actually feel you are in a futuristic world. It is simply superb.

Travel Tips: Metro station is Emirates Towers Station, Red Line. We travelled by Metro to visit MOTF and it was quite economical.
