Day 1

We both love to travel and when we found an opportunity to travel during the Christmas holidays, quickly booked into the nearest available destination as it was more of a last minute booking (just 1 month before the trip). As we stay in Singapore wanted to visit places in and around SG. We started of from SG to KL on a flight - Air Mauritius flight which flew from SG at 8:45 am such a beautiful journey though it was short duration of 40 mins air travel, but the view was beautiful. From KLIA2 we had our bus to Genting scheduled at around 1pm. The drive is 2hrs from KL city with beautiful view. We had booked our stay at the First world hotel in Genting complex as it's easy to access and near to the happening places. Genting is a good place to visit for families with Kids, as it was Christmas time there were lot of activities and events Christmas themed. They had this outdoor theater where all Christmas movies were being played for the week and carol singing events.

Day 2

So we got the entire 2nd day in Genting, as we arrived on day 1 almost early evening, so couldn't explore much. The 2nd day we woke up early and went on to explore Chin Swee Cave Temples. It is situated in the most scenic site Genting Highlands on a 28- acre plot of rocky forested land donated by Genting group founder the late Lim Goh Tong. One of the temple’s most recognized landmarks is a nine-storey Pagoda, which is fitted with images of Buddha and thousands of blessing lamps. The most convenient way to reach Chin Swee Caves Temple is via the Awana SkyWay cable car. Disembark at Chin Swee Station and there are connecting escalators to take you down to the temple. Chin Swee Caves Temple’s main square also houses several prayer halls for devotees to pray and meditate during their visit, while those looking to learn more about the Buddhism can explore the depiction of 10 Chambers of Hell, which are set along the fringe of the square. Early morning would be the most beautiful time to visit with literally very less crowd and the beautiful weather where you can see clouds all below you.

Day 3

After spending 2days in Genting we moved to our next destination - Cameron Highlands. From one cold and commercial place to another cold but peaceful mountains place filled with Tea fields, Strawberry farms and Mossy forest.

Cameron Highlands is like Darjeeling of Malaysia but just beautiful like it :) Really great mountain place with tea estates, we stayed at Copthorne Hotel which is very famous for it's view of the valley. The hotel was overall good like a rating of 3.5 what we found odd was hotels in Malaysia were not that great maintained in terms of any re-work or if the paint was peeling. The rooms gave a feeling that they were quite old. At Cameron we visited Boh tea plantations where you can enjoy the lush green terraces and learn how the tea is harvested and grown. There is also a delightful tea shop here where you can sample some of the signature brews for yourself and also pick up a few packets as a souvenir of your trip here.

Day 4

Langkawi was our last leg of the trip and the most beautiful. We stayed at Resort wold Langkawi which was really beautiful place for stay - Infinity pool, water sports, jetty. Places we visited - Langkawi Sky Bridge, Dataran Lang (Eagle Square), Cabaret, Langkawi Arts in Paradise 3D Museum. We bought online the tickets of langkawi sky bridge which had the cable car cost, 3D museum cost, e bought it via Klook.
