The only beach you shouldn't miss in Goa...!

Palolem beach is a stretch of calm waters with white sand on a bay in South Goa. It's known for its shallow waters, lip-smacking shacks, beach hut stays, yoga sessions, and nightlife, including silent discos. It is a natural bay surrounded by lofty headlands on either sides, resulting in a calm, idyllic sea with a gently sloping bed which allows you to walk up to 100 m out from the beach. Palolem is located at almost the southern end of Goa and is thus far from the more crowded places. Lined with palm trees and colorful wooden shacks, the beach faces canacona Island, known for its resident monkeys.

HOW TO REACH

* The easy way to reach Palolem is to take a train to Margao or fly to Dabolim Airport and take a taxi to Palolem.

* Canacona is the nearest bus/train station to Palolem, approximately 5 minutes drive away.

* You may also take a bus from Margao Bus Stand to Palolem. The journey by bus usually takes around 90 minutes. The journey by bus is comfortable and the route is a scenic one.

1. Sunset on the Beach

Sunsets have been always my favorite part of the day in palolem, every morning i was already looking forward to watching yet another sunset. If you get to the beach and walk towards left, you will the sun for longer.

2. Yoga

Palolem is famous for many Yoga schools, like Earth Yoga Village, which we never got a chance to explore, since we are not so early risers :) But if you are interested in doing or learn yoga, Palolem has a lot of options for that.

3. Dolphin Spotting

Evenings in Palolem are even more blissfull, because of the boat trips available here. If you are lucky you will get to spot dolphins while enjoying the sunset. Although they’re bashful creatures at heart, they never fail to impress with their streamlined bodies and lively characters.

4. Get an ayurvedic Massage

To relieve all the work stress and experience the ultimate beach relaxation, treat yourself with an ayurvedic massage at an extremely reasonable price. But be cautious about selecting the massage spa, as some rookies may spoil your ultimate relaxing experience.

5. Taste some authentic Italian Pizzas

If you want to taste some authentic Italian pizzas in Palolem, don't miss visiting Magic Italy Pizzeria, which is One of the Most Excellent and Authentic Italian Food Restaurant in Palolem. This is a Family Run Restaurant, running for the past 20 Years.

Gentleman Dario and a Sweet Girl Surya are the very welcoming owners. Ms. Claudia is the Pasta Chef & Makes the Most Authentic & Delicious Pasta's. The owners do mention that all the Ingredients used here come from Italy, Except the Vegetables.

6. Party at Silent Noise Disco

Remember, Ranbir and Anushka shaking legs with Headphone On for the "Breakup Song"..! Though the movie was disastrous, you can experience a similar headphone party scene in the Silent Noise club in Palolem. The wifi headphones were of pretty good quality. They have 3 DJs playing different music on different channels. The Headphone has 3 different lights telling others what exactly you are listening to and dancing on. Pretty cool concept.
