My first visit to Goa taught me that this place is absolutely a Heaven on Earth with sun, moon, sand, sea, greens, relaxation and tons of fun. Its churches, forts and historical places gave me a sense of comfort. Here are some glimpses of my first trip to goa.

Even though Goa is the smallest state on the Western coast of India, it is one of the most popular due to its rich heritage, warm and friendly people, tropical climate, scenic beaches and exotic handicraft but trip to Goa is undoubtedly one of the most cancelled ones for Indian travellers. At least once in your lifetime, you would dream to be there, lie on a beach with your friends and hope to bring a crack in your wall of dignity until all hell breaks loose! But that's only until your plans fall face-first at the last moment.
After hundreds of cancelled plans we finally reached to goa in Jan 2021. Firstly we made plan for 3 days-2 nights later on which was extended to 5 days-4 nights. We spent the first few days staying in South Goa, visiting different beaches, hotels and villages, and generally getting a feel for the region. The South is regarded as a more relaxed and peaceful part of Goa, something reflected by beaches such as palolem, cabo de rama, cola, butterfly, agonda beach.

1. Palolem beach

Palolem Beach is a stretch of white sand on a bay in Goa, South India. It's known for its calm waters and for its nightlife, including "silent discos" where partygoers wear headphones. Lined with palm trees and colorful wooden shacks. We stayed in one of the beautiful resorts of palolem beach named Royal w
woods beach resort. It was a beautiful wooden cottage where we luckily got sea view rooms & the view was mesmerizing.

2. Cabo de rama
Located in South goa, Cabo de rama beach lies hidden beneath a tall cliff surrounded by tall coconut trees. The cliff offers fascinating views of pristine blue waters & the hills enveloped in greenery. Best part of this is standing on the cliff &  enjoying  the natural beauty. With stone steps the way leads down from cliff to the beach. The landscape suddenly changes from open views of the sea with surrounding hills to secluded beach with waves of clear water splashing onto the beach. Sunset views from this location is breathtaking.

3. Cola beach
Cola Beach  offers fine golden sand beaches dotted with large volcanic boulders and a backdrop of tall forested hills. The beach itself offers a relaxed atmosphere .Cola is a stunningly beautiful hidden beach in South Goa that very few tourists know of. This is so remote that it feels like a private beach. It remains hidden by thick vegetation &  palm trees.

4. Butterfly beach

A hidden land of adventure, peppered with some stunning views & aquatic life; that’s Butterfly Beach for you! The beauty of the hidden gem has an aura of calmness and bliss attached to it. Semi-circle shaped landscape, millions of butterflies flying over the hilltop blossoms, and acrobatics of the dolphins around ensure a wonderful experience at the Butterfly Beach in Goa.

5. Agonda beach

Agonda beach is the perfect beach in Goa for anyone who wants to relax away from it all. This seemingly endless pristine beach stretches for almost two miles. It's lined with shacks and huts, some simple and some fancy. Chilling, swimming, walking, eating, shopping  and just generally doing nothing are the main activities at Agonda.

After exploring these beautiful beaches in South goa we decided to go to North goa.

Sparkling with sea, sand, and sunshine, North Goa welcomes you to a picturesque land of natural beauty. But if you thought this region is only about golden beaches and turquoise water, think again! Dotted with magnificent forts, gorgeous churches, electrifying party hotspots, buzzing flea markets, and a host of other attractions, the place is truly a traveler’s delight.some of the most captivating places to visit in North Goa are Chapora fort, Aguada fort, Vagator beach, Anjuna beach, Baga beach, Calangute beach, Sinquerim beach.

1. Chapora fort

Honestly we all know chapora fort because of movie Dil Chahta Hai. This ancient fort in North Goa offers splendid views of the adjoining Vagator beach and overlooks the Arabian Sea from all angles. The fort is located on top of a hillock with slopes on all sides. This fort gives scenic view for sunset.

2. Aguada fort

Overlooking the vast expanse of ‘seeming to be endless’ blue waters in front of it,  Aguada fort is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Goa. It receives a lot of tourist traffic all around the year. Reasons are that it’s excellent for sightseeing and also that it stands as a testimony to the glory of Portuguese empire.

3. Vagator beach

Vagator beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa that is enclosed with soft white sand and speckled by huge black rocks, coconut & palm trees. It is famous due to its dynamic cliffs and its secluded nature.

4. Anjuna beach

Anjuna beach provides you with some of the stunning scenery and photographic view during sunrise and sunset. The combination of the white sand and the scintillating blue sea create an unbeatable view.In North goa we have stayed in a small resort named Red Indian Tribe near anjuna beach. This was small & cozy place to stay. The theme of resort was so attractive.

5. Baga beach

One of the most popular beaches in North Goa, Baga Beach. Baga is the perfect destination to witness the dazzling nightlife of Goa . But me & my squad were not so interested in parties & pubs so we just visited there on our last night at goa.

6. Calangute beach

Calangute Beach caters to all types of travellers, from nature lovers to adventure junkies to party freaks. Acting as a heaven for nature lovers, in particular, this beach is the biggest and the most popular one in North Goa, boasting of scintillating charm as well as beauty.

7. Sinquerim beach

Famous for its beautiful beach, boasting endless golden sands and lined with plush greenery, Sinquerim is a fabulous location for beach lovers.

And last but not the least panjim. Whenever you plan a trip to goa just explore panjim. Panjim has terraced hills, concrete buildings with balconies and red-tiled roofs, churches. Some of its beautiful places are fontainhas, Church of the Immaculate Conception of the virgin mary, St Augustin towers.

So overall it was a wonderful experience that i will not forgot for the rest of my life, in my first visit I am in love with this place. This trip has inspired me alot to travel around the whole world and explore new places and which i surely will.
