Champaner - Pavagadh Archeological Park is declared as world heritage cite by UNESCO.
If you love history, Architecture and old monuments than this place is for you. More than 30 monuments are there which includes Long fort walls, Mosque, Jain - Hindu temples, Ruin forts and step wells.These monuments are best example of Hindu & Muslim architecture. Some of the monuments are in ruin condition but they are worth to visit.
A street walk is advisable to cover all the monuments(Around more than 30). A famous Hindu temple - Goddess Kalika temple is situated on the Pavagadh hills( 2,600 ft height). A cable car / rope way facilities are there to reach over the hill. Jain temples are situated at the foot of hills and on the hills too.
How to reach:
Champaner is 145km away from Ahmedabad city. You can avail state transport bus services as well private vehicles also. We would drive from Ahmedabad to Champaner. Also Vadodara is the city situated nearby (Approx. 50km). In Vadodara you can have good staying facilities available. Airport is also there in the city.
Stay:
Staying facilities are available in Pavagadh Jain temple as well other budget hotels also. You can stay in Vadodara or Ahmedabad city and drive through and come back in a day. If you want to stay in Pavagadh than for luxurious traveler I recommend for stay champaner heritage resort where you can have good staying facilities available.
Food:
There are lots of food options are available on the way to Pavagadh and in pavagadh too. In Jain temple Bhojanshala facilities are also available.

Sahar ki Masjid, various Gates of fort, Mandvi /Custom House,Ek minar mosque, Three cells,Citadel walls,Kevda Masjid,Jami Masjid, The fort and Ruined Hindu and Jain temples on the top of Pavagad hills.
Pavagadh Hills : We were took the step to climbed the hill and on return we took cable car ride. If you want to visit the ruin fort parts, temples and other historical monuments than it is advisable to climb the hill by foot.
