Does it not excite to see everything frozen around you and to live in a temperature as low as -20-25°C?. The uncertainties what lies ahead in the journey is the most fascinating thing about this trek. I spent around 6 days in the frozen area. The trek is not difficult physically for someone as long as that person can walk 7-8 kms a day, it is all about to prepare yourself mentally. I would say, if you go for it, it will be one of the best things you have probably done in your life. I came back with so many incredible pictures and videos.

How to walk on the frozen surface -

Don't go fast, I would say better don't walk ahead of all in the group. Just go slow, enjoy the breathtaking landscapes all around you and try walk by dragging your feet on the surface, don't lift your feet a lot. And foremost listen the guide.

What to carry:

Even though you will get meals, I would suggest you to carry some dry fruits with you and some energy bars. Carry a torch ???? it will help, 3 power banks, extra battery for your camera. There will be no reception during the entire trek so just keep the phone in the flight mode. Visit the nearest Decathlon to buy the required clothes. You can also buy things from the army store in Leh market such as a pair of woollen socks and hand gloves.

i have taken some really great pictures, you can check them on my Instagram @singhvoyage . You can ask your queries in the comment or text me on Instagram.

Tips - Reach Leh 2 days before you start the trek to get used to with high altitude.
