This is exactly what Incredible India 2.0, The Next Trillion Dollar Opportunity, an event organised by the Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) aims to find out.
What
The tourism industry in India is growing steadily, creating more jobs and generating more income year after year. It contributed 9.6% to the nation's GDP in 2016 and supported 40.34 million jobs. In the first six months of 2017, India welcomed 4.89 million foreign tourists! The numbers don't lie, and these prove that the Indian tourism and hospitality industry is one of the key drivers of growth in the services sector of India.
The tourism ministry has set huge targets for India's tourism industry in the coming years and technology and digital is one of the major contributors towards achieving these targets. And that is exactly what the Internet & Mobile Association of India aims to discuss during the Incredible India 2.0, The Next Trillion Dollar Opportunity conference.
The aim of the conference, as stated on the IAMAI website, is to chart the roadmap on how technology can be used to maximise the potential of tourism. The discussions are expected to set a series of recommendations on policies and innovative measures that India needs to implement to develop a competitive and sustainable tourism sector making it a major contributor to strategies aimed towards an inclusive and sustainable growth.

The Lalit Hotel, New Delhi, will be the host for this event held on March 13, 2018. The event will start at 9am and is expected to end by 5.30pm.
