Day 1

Whenever you are planning a trip to Sikkim or North Bengal, Darjeeling is a place you can not skip. The queen of hills makes sure that you keep coming back to her. It enchants you with its mild weather, misty roads covered with varieties of shops and cobbled paths on both sides giving a feel of vintage times. In the evening every place has fragrance of flowers, varieties of tea, mouth savouring food.
Among this you get the most beautiful and thrilling train ride i.e of DHR.

The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, also known as the DHR or the Toy Train, is a 610 mm (2 ft) gauge railway that runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was  built between 1879-1881, it is approx 88 km long. It climbs from 330 ft above sea level at New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling at 7200 ft, using six zig zags and five loops.
It also has steam trains.
One of the stations is Ghoom which is termed as India's highest railway station.

In December 1999, UNESCO declared the DHR a World Heritage Site❤️.

The train ride is fondly called as Joy ride🥰,  throughout monsoon it is covered with clouds, gives a misty experience of Himalayan Railways.
