Dec 2018, yes 2 years back I did this one of the most amazing and beautiful "Kedarkantha Trek". The best thing about this trek is that the trail of this trek is equally stunning as the summit.

While trail goes through dense forests and beautiful snow fields, it's summit gives you the stunning 360 degree view.

This trek is literally the beginner's delight.

I was planning this trek for around 2 years and in Dec-18, I decide to finally do it. I booked this trek from "IndiaHikes", but I was a little skeptical about how these trekking companies works, as I was trying this for the very first time. But it all goes in favor and really worked well and I am happy and delighted to be a part of it :)

I am going to upload the video in two parts, so that length will be under the limit. This is a part-1 and covers till we reach our first campsite - Juda Ka Talab.

Before that I would really appreciate if you subscribe my channel on YouTube and follow on instagram @letsdosometravel

I am from Delhi, so its relatively easy compared to Bangalore or Mumbai guys to head to the mountains and I often do that. Mountains are literally my 2nd home :D

Day 1

I took a bus from Delhi on 21st Dec to Dehradun at night around 10PM and reached Dehradun by 4 AM the next day. From Dehradun, Indiahikes arranged the cab to Sankri from where the trek starts.

The Sankri Village in a beautiful hamlet in Uttarakhand and is a base camp of many amazing and beautiful Himalayan treks like Rupin pass, Har ki Doon, Kedarkantha, etc. It is not only scenic but also a trekker’s delight. It falls under Govind Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park.

Day 2

We reached there in the evening that same day at around 5 PM. It was really a long travel day. The next day we started our trek from Sankri to our first camp "Juda ka Talab". This site will make you fall in love with this place. A frozen lake and snow-covered mountains all around, this place is beyond explanation. We reached camp at around 3 PM all exhausted :D

The next day, we headed to our 2nd camp "Talketra".

The Camps of Kedarkantha treks are so beautifully placed that every camp has its own charm. This one is above treeline and the 360-degree view from here is alluring. You can see the clouds and birds below from the mountains, and the only sound you hear are the birds. Just that amazing.

The very next day, we did our summit to the peak.... "coming in "KedarKantha part 2"

Stay tuned...

Till then Subscribe, Like and comment :)

Thank you !!
