Day 1: Arrival in Hampi
After a long flight and a scenic drive, I finally arrived in Hampi. My first stop was the Virupaksha Temple, one of the most famous temples in the area. The temple was bustling with activity, and the intricate carvings and architecture were awe-inspiring. After exploring the temple, I walked around the Hampi Bazaar, which was a vibrant and colorful marketplace with shops selling everything from jewelry to spices. I ended my day watching the sunset from Hemakuta Hill, which offered a stunning view of the surrounding landscape.
Day 2: Exploring Hampi's Monuments
Today was all about exploring the iconic monuments of Hampi. I started my day with a visit to the Royal Enclosure, which contained the Lotus Mahal and Elephant Stables. The Lotus Mahal was a beautiful example of Islamic architecture, and the Elephant Stables were massive and impressive. Next, I visited the Hazara Rama Temple, which was famous for its intricate carvings depicting scenes from the Ramayana. Finally, I made my way to the Vittala Temple, known for its musical pillars and stone chariot. Watching the sunset at the Achyuta Raya Temple was the perfect end to an amazing day.
Day 3: Trekking and Hiking
Today, I decided to explore Hampi's natural beauty. I woke up early to hike to Matanga Hill for a breathtaking view of the sunrise. The hike was challenging, but the view was worth it. Next, I visited the Anjaneya Hill and the Hanuman Temple, which had a peaceful and serene atmosphere. I ended my day with a refreshing dip in the Sanapur Lake, which was crystal clear and perfect for swimming.
Day 4: A Day of Relaxation
Today was all about relaxing and taking it easy. I started my day with a yoga session, which was a great way to center myself and relax. Next, I visited the Mango Tree Restaurant, which was a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and vibrant. I spent the rest of my day reading a book and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Day 5: Exploring the Villages
Today, I decided to explore the nearby villages around Hampi. I started my day with a visit to the traditional village of Anegundi, which had a rich history and culture. Next, I visited the village of Kamalapur, which was famous for its beautiful temples and architecture. Finally, I visited the village of Kamlapura, which was known for its stunning landscapes and greenery. The villages were a refreshing change of pace from the bustling city of Hampi.
Day 6: Adventure Sports
Today was all about adventure sports. I started my day with a thrilling coracle ride on the Tungabhadra River, which was a great way to experience the natural beauty of the area. Next, I went on a bouldering tour, which was an adrenaline-filled activity that challenged me physically and mentally. Finally, I went on a cycling tour, which was a great way to explore the area at a leisurely pace.
Day 7: Departure
Today was my last day in Hampi. I spent my morning packing my bags and saying goodbye to the amazing staff at my hotel. Before leaving, I visited the Hampi Archaeological Museum, which was a fascinating place that showcased the history and culture of the area. Finally, I made my way to the airport, feeling grateful for the amazing experiences and memories I had created during my 7-day trip to Hampi.
