A year end freak out trip was just planned to find myself in the beautiful forests.
Started the journey from Bangalore in my car at 10P.M. Reached Hunsur by enjoying the most famous Maddur vada and tea at Maddur around 12P.M
Halted at Hunsur for a small sleep, Sleeping in car on the roadside wasn’t adventurous as we dream always. We were supposed to face the foggy ???? climate, uncomfortable car seats as our beds for the night wasn’t easy at all.
We moved towards Bagarhole—->kutta entrance. We were the second car to enter the Nagarhole entrance towards kutta. There was no much expectation that we could find animals on our journey. But still we found plenty of Deer’s, few tamed elephants, monkeys and other beings were common. This findings was bit satisfactory as our expectations were low
Our next stop from there was at Iruppu falls for enjoying our nature bath and beautiful scenery then next we travelled along the zigzag roads of waynad and reached the most awaited stay “Eaglenest hilltop”
It’s on the other side of Edkkal caves, the team from Eaglenest stay picked us from down in a jeep and we went on a 85• peak roller coaster drive, which was dangerous exciting drive. Trust me, that was entertaining drive. We were welcomed with the. special Waynad coffee.
After relaxing for sometime we went on a small trek from there for witnessing the beautiful sunset. Captured few memories from there and returned to our cottage. We spent our rest of the late evening by tasting the Irish whiskey + Mother Nature’s beautiful view + Kerala Special dinner + Usual friends fun chats
It was our return day, we woke up for the amazing sunrise with waynad special coffee. It was my favourite lifeline(Amma) birthday, So I called her and wished showing her the sunrise.
The breakfast served was famous Kerala appam and Muttor gravy.
We went out for edkkal caves which almost took 2-3hrs of our time because of the ticket queue and more crowd, which wasn’t much worth of time.
We drove back to Bangalore on Bandipur-Bangalore highway. On the way we stopped at Sulthanbathery Bathery for shopping tea& coffee powders and also not missing the Kerala Bannana chips for our next few days Kerala essence
Note:
Cost per head: 3k
Best things to do: Stay in Eagle nest hilltop which has 2 big wooden cottage and 4 tents. (Prefer to check in with friends than family)
To avoid: Edkal caves if you don’t have time
