From climbing a 1km steep slope to see the Neelakurinji, to doing the deed with utmost ease, Saramma won hearts at the glowing age of 85! Fellow accompanying tourists were spectacled to witness the beautiful wonder!
A resident of Idukki’s Muniyara, Saramma had visited the Kallippara hills in Kerala’s Idukki district to experience the blooming of Neelakurinji. She currently lives in a loving family with 9 children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The enthusiasm behind completing the 1km climb is what now has become an inspiration to many. The Neelakurinji bloomed over the Kallippara hills this year, which is a part of the Santhanpara Gram Panchayat. The region witnessed an increase in footfall this season, as people visited in large numbers for the purpose of experiencing this phenomenon!
