The sun is out and boy oh boy is the Mumbai heat killing us already? And since summer has started, we all want places where we can relax and chill. I am someone who loves coffee, food, and exploring new restaurants. So on my recent trip to Mumbai, I went to some of the prettiest cafes and restaurants to try their food and drinks. Here are my top 10 suggestions for you!

A quaint cafe in the heart of Mumbai - 'The Homemade Cafe & Bar' oozes Goan vibes and all things chilled. Hidden in a corner in Juhu, this cafe is the perfect place for breakfast, afternoon coffees, or even evening cocktails.

I went to 'Fable' for a brunch with my school friend. And since we were catching up after ages, we wanted someplace we could talk, yet that was pretty! This place was welcoming and perfect for groups or dates!

With its pastel hues and amazing cake selections, 'Poetry by Love and Cheesecake' is the place for coffee and cakes! You can even work here and go on a coffee date yourself with your favourite book! This cafe has multiple locations in Mumbai and all are equally good!

Think pink when you enter 'Pink Wasabi.' From the decor to the menu, everything is pink here! A perfect place for pictures, this is an insta-worthy location! Offering Pan Asian cuisine, plan a dinner or a lunch here for a unique experience!

Whether you need a fix of coffee, tea, or cocktails - 'Cafe Holiday' has it all! The ambience is nice and cosy with blue and white Greecian decor. Sit outdoors in the evenings for fresh air or go here on a date with your BFF on a hot summer day!

'Theobroma' is a well-known bakery to many. And without doubt, they have the best freshly made cakes and bread selections. I went to the Lokhandwala outlet and they have a cute and cosy sitting on top.

8. Salt Water Cafe

This lunch at 'Salt Water Cafe' was rather special for me. Meeting with some of Tripoto's writers meant we had to go to a good place where we could talk. This cafe makes it's a perfect place for foodies and those who want to chill on a weekend.

9. Hakkasan

If you are in the mood for a celebration, 'Hakkasan' is a good fine-dine restaurant for you. Serving Chinese cuisine, this place is perfectly designed for some private time with family and friends. We first went to the bar and tried some delicious cocktails and then headed to our table for dinner.

10. Grandmama's Cafe

'Grandmama's All Day Cafe' is an eclectic cafe with cosy corners. Swings in the outdoor seating and cycles on the wall are an icebreaker for any conversation. Created to make you feel at home, yet in a beautifully decorated setting, this cafe will not disappoint you. As the name suggests, you can visit any time of the day!

Menu recommendations: Granny Smith Apple Pie, Grandmama's Nutella Pizza

Where: Multiple locations in Mumbai and two in Pune
