You can now get an aerial view of north Delhi up to Akshardham Temple as Pawan Hans, the national chopper operator, is all set to introduce its 'Delhi Darshan' rides from April 1.
"Pawan Hans is commencing helicopter rides and helicopter Delhi Darshan from its state-of-the-art integrated Rohini Heliport. Initially, the helicopter ride/Delhi Darshan is planned for March 25-26. Further, regular helicopter ride/Delhi Darshan is commencing from April 1 onwards," Pawan Hans Limited said in a statement.
A 20-minute helicopter ride over Pitampura Tower, Majnu Ka Tila, Red Fort, Rajghat, Akshardham Temple and nearby areas will cost you around ₹4,999. A shorter ride for about 10-minute will cost you about ₹2,499.
This is first time Delhiites will be able to take chopper rides in the city. As of now, flying in and out of Delhi in choppers was a privilege available only with VVIPs.
