Third Stop: Ganesh Tok - The temple is next to park from where you can see Gangtok. Small shop is also there for souvenir.I was lucky enough to capture lightening from here.
Ganesh Tok: It is a Ganesh Temple located at an altitude of 6500 ft. ‘Tok’ refers to ‘temple’. Tourists come here not only to offer prayers to Lord Ganesha but to also soak and imbibe the beauty of Gangtok as seen from the viewing gallery. The entry is free but a parking fee of 30 INR is to be paid if you come here in a four-wheeler. There is a souvenir and gift shop within the complex that has some really economical and beautiful artefacts.
Ganesh TokAt the entry we had tried Gangtok local Sikkimese dress and clicked pictures with different poses. There was an old Ganesh Temple.
On the return journey to Gangtok, one may visit the Ganesh tok and Hanuman tok, they are good view points but in our case the weather was not appropriate and hence we returned back to Ravangla.[All materials contained on this site (text, photographs, layout etc.) are protected by copyright law to the author unless specified otherwise.]
5) Ganesh Tok There is a Ganesh temple named as Ganesh tok is at a well decorated place near the Himalayan Zoological Park. Very beautiful temple of Lord Ganesha. Gift shops and a Cafeteria adjacent to it serve some good foods to tourists.
