Hello beautiful readers! You know what? There are times when your mind doesn't want other thoughts to take over the moment and seeks to seize the present, especially when the mind is devoid of any thoughts. And a few months ago, I experienced the same in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.
It was the time when I woke up and peeked through the curtains to witness the dawn creep in and turn the sky into the beautiful hues of pink and blue. The grass looked green as ever as if they too had just woke up from a good night's sleep. Everything seemed to be waking up and welcoming the morning rays. While everything around me was greeting the sunrise, how could I remain asleep? So, I decided to take a walk around this stand-alone villa.
As I wandered along the vein-like path of our homestay complex, it was like walking on a palette with diverse shades of green, greeting me at every step. As they say, there is nothing as lovely as an early morning walk – the time when most of us are asleep, but nature and birds are in their full bloom. Don't know why but my mind was in a mood to capture every moment. It is surprising how our mind doesn’t let any thoughts disturb it when we are at a place that deserves our unrestrained attention.
As I walked towards the beach, I was greeted with smiles from hotel staff and other tourists, who were getting prepared for their rides. Most of them even questioned me if I had been to the beach close up and also instructed me not to go for a swim in the deep waters. I went to the beach and felt the soothing sound of the waves. I was left mesmerised by the surroundings of this endless beach of shell sand, quite innocent of coral, on which the surf breaks repeatedly into dazzling white foam against a dark background of meditative palms.
I witnessed the carefree beach waves, flowing by us with ripples of time. The rays of the rising sun were now shooting out from the horizon giving an entirely new dimension to the scene. If I were to sit and compose this blog there, I know I wouldn’t have been able to. Because my mind was devoid of all thoughts at that moment. It wouldn’t have let me overlook any moment to feel the beautiful nature.
In a nutshell, I would like to add that your mind needs a break, even if it is for a short time – a break from thoughts, a leave from the chaos.
