Istanbul Tourism and Travel Guide

"If one had but a single glance to give the the world, one should gaze on Istanbul." ~ Alphonse de Lamartine. Istanbul, a city built on ruins of several empires, is still a living reflection of an age-old culture and lifestyle. This city has always attracted tourists from all over the world to its unique mix of past and present. The cosy well-decorated cafes on cobblestone streets give a Persian feel to the city. With Bosphorus Strait running right through the centre, Istanbul connects the East and the West. When in Istanbul, you just cannot miss a trip to Turkish Bathhouses called Hammams. This centuries-old Turkish tradition seems to have survived history and is very popular among locals as well as tourists. Kilic Ali Pasa Hamami is one such bath which is known to have been built in the 16th century. Dive a bit deeper into Turkish history and experience an ultimate Ottoman fine dining experience at Tugra, a restaurant of the Ciragan Palace. Istanbul is also known for its amazing street food. Feast on some exquisite Turkish delicacies while exploring the huge Grand Bazar. Istanbul is in no doubt the best of Turkey you can experience.
