Chadwick Falls Reviews

Trail 1: Chadwick Falls in Hyun Village (3 + km from Summer Hill Post Office) Near the Summer Hill Post Office, at the entrance to Himachal Pradesh University, there are several small eateries frequented by students where you could pack food for the picnic. If you stand facing the University, the road to your right is the one to take. This gently meandering road hugs the hill on which the University is located for a short distance before branching off towards Hyun village. As you descend from the side of the University hill, the road becomes greener and freer of vehicles and people. Through several twists and turns, the road gradually reveals the wonders of the landscape. The Himalayan vegetation of deodar, spruce, pine and oak provides a lush, perfumed cover to the path, and you inhale the fresh scents in the air as you go into shade and light alternately.
Chadwick Falls:Though it was freezing cold, the sun was shining and trying to show off in the cloud packed sky. Today we decided to start with something aesthetic. With a small trek, we got to witness some of the best things one can ever see in Shimla. An unnoticed place with almost zero visitors had it's own charm. The valley was in complete silence and we could hear only the sounds of the waterfall and the birds and nothing else. I literally lost my heart and I was in no mood to go from that falls. But my friends convinced me and I had to leave it.
Chadwick Falls- Accompanied by thick and canopying forests, Chadwick falls are a hidden gem of Shimla hills! The location of the fall is very well hidden and has a short trek which leads to it, that is if you can find the point where the trek starts! The water trickles from a height of 100 meters and it was the named by the Britishers as " Chadwick Falls" as the original name was too difficult for them to pronounce! Best time to visit is in the Monsoons, when the water level is considerably increased due to the monsoons!
What's a visit to a hill-station if you don't undertake at least one trek? Chadwick Waterfall, located only 7km from the main city is the perfect trek to start your day with. Begin the trek early morning and try to catch the sunrise from the waterfall. The rising sun makes everything poetic and the waterfall gets soaked in magic. It is definitely a sight that you cannot miss.
