Magellan's Golden Bridge is a splendid property in North Sikkim. Around 125 away from sikkim 's capital Gangtok there is small beautiful town named lachung at the elevation of 9600 feet or 2900 metre.
This lown is at confluence of the lachen and lachung rivers which are tributaries of the river teesta.
Lachung means" small pass ".
We stayed in this gorgeous place of lachung on 3rd December 2019 while we exploring Gangtok and lachung.
Some points you must know before reaching lachung:
1. Adhar card is not considered as valid proof.
2. You cannot go on own four wheeler vehicle. Only permitted local vehicles are allowed.
3. For reaching lachung you need a permit. Permit can make easily through travel agents.
4. For permit you need 2 recent passport size photoes with white back ground.
5. For permit you need I'd proof except adhar card like PAN card, bank pass book, passport, driving licence.
6. Lachung is plastic free zone. You cannot carry mineral water bottle. You can carry your own non disposable bottle .
The northeastern belt of India is manifested with some of most stunning locations. Lachung is quaint hamlet of the state sikkim that is filled with awe and wonder.
We stayed in the Golden Bridge lachung for one night. The property was amazing with royal interiors, huge parking, neat & clean rooms. We impressed by the hospitality by staff. Although We booked this property on 2nd december instead of 3rd December yet they provide us a room and all facilities like free breakfast, complementary tea etc.
Also in morning we have to check out early morning, they provide breakfast before 7 AM and parcel our breakfast which includes Allo pratha.
At lachung there was so cold and temperature was below -3. Room has heater so that guests can get relief from cold. The mountain from our room was amazing . Hotel was surrounded with peace and beauty.
Next day Sunshine at snow covered peaks wish us good morning giving good vibes.
