Sri Lanka is a diverse country with a rich history, stunning natural beauty, and a variety of cultural experiences to offer. It has a rich and diverse culture that has been shaped by its long history, multicultural influences, and the beliefs of its people. It is an island nation located in South Asia, in the Indian Ocean. It is situated to the south of India and is separated from the Indian subcontinent by the Palk Strait.
The capital of Sri Lanka is Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, while Colombo is the largest city and the commercial and financial center.
Population: As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, Sri Lanka had a population of around 21 million people. Please note that population figures can change over time.
Language: Sinhala and Tamil are the official languages of Sri Lanka. English is also widely used, especially in business and education.
Religion: Buddhism is the predominant religion in Sri Lanka, followed by Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity.
Geography: The country is known for its diverse geography, which includes beautiful beaches along the coastline, lush forests, rolling hills, and mountains in the central region. The island is home to several national parks and wildlife reserves.
Currency: The Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) is the official currency.
Sri Lanka is a popular tourist destination known for its stunning landscapes, historical and cultural sites, wildlife, and warm hospitality. Tourists often visit places like Colombo, Kandy, Sigiriya, Galle, and the beautiful beaches along the coastline.
In our recent visit to Srilanka, we had planned our own itinerary and booked our hotels by ourselves through online platforms. One of the most source of income of Srilanka are tourism.
As per our itinerary we had stayed in the below places and resorts.
Day 1 :

The hotel offers an outdoor pool, 2 restaurants and a bar. Free parking is available.
The air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a minibar, cable TV and coffee/tea maker. Private bathrooms and a personal safe are provided.

Day 2 :
With mountain views, Melford Nuwara Eliya is located in Nuwara Eliya and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, snack bar, garden, terrace and children's playground. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge.
Some of the units include a satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchenette with a toaster, and a private bathroom with a bidet and free toiletries.
A continental, Full English/Irish or Asian breakfast is available daily at the property. There is a shared lounge at this property and guests can go hiking and cycling nearby.
Gregory Lake is 500 metres from Melford Nuwaraeliya, while Hakgala Botanical Garden is 6.8 km away. The nearest airport is Katugastota Polgolla Reservoir Seaplane Base, 80 km from the accommodation, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.

Day 3 & 4 :
