Day 1

I booked a package from ECO tourism.
The cab picked me up from Park Street Kolkata and it took around 3 hours to reach Sundarban, Godkhali. The whole journey is beautiful, you will see a lot of water bodies and coconut tress it all look so beautiful. After that I took a boat arranged by the eco tourism guys to reach the island and after reaching Island a 15-20 mins ride to the stay. After quick breakfast our journey to explore the Sundarban starts.
The boat was pretty good and has all facilities washroom, bed, food and water. Its kind of very difficult to spot a tiger in Sundarban as at the time of high tide they are deep inside the forest and your only chance to spot a tiger is when it cones near shore or while crossing the canales to go to another island. You may spot crocodiles, monitor lizard, various bird like kingfisher, stork.
I was not lucky enough to spot a tiger but I got to see crocodile, monitor lizard and several birds.
But the boat ride is so good, you get your lunch on boat and can enjoy the jungle vibes on a boat while having a good meal.
There are so many little ponds around Sundarban used by locals for fishing and regular purpose and its all so beautiful.
