We started our journey on the Friday morning around 10 am from the Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu and reached Kanyakumari in the late evening around 8 or 9 pm. Though the whole day was spent in the travelling the nature around was worth to watch along the travel. The beauty of Aramboli gaps i the western ghats makes you freshen at the start of the journey. A large number of windmill along the road sides of different structures doesn't make the journey feel a waste.

After reaching just took a round around the city along with my buddy,to have our dinner here you will get almost every type of hotel and food but if you need a drink you need to pay nearly twice the price for a beer. After the dinner we had stayed in in room as the sleep was important because we couldn't miss the beautiful sunrise of Kanyakumari the southern most tip of the country.

Morning at nearly 5.15 we started towards the beach i was super excited to go as we walked we could see many families, students and couples sitting along the shore to watch the beautiful rise. generally the time for the sunrise is 6 am. After the sunrise we walked in the sand and moved towards the southern most tip of the countries land and just felt different.

After that we went back to the hotel got fresh and moved to the Kanyakumari Amma temple, not much around 30-40 min were enough for us but was blessing to be there. Post we went to take our break fast and then in the line to fetch a ticket for the ferri to the Vivekananda rock memorial. Here, you would need to wait for nearly 2 hrs in line and then a 5-10 min journey to the memorial. Here it depicts the life of Swamiji and also u get a fresh breeze and a look of Thiruvalluvar Statue a worth time spending for two hours. Here you can spend nearly a hour or two and have great photography and fun.

Post you can get back and have a lunch you love and spend the afternoon at the Vivekananda and the Gandhi Museum which are near to each other and have a peaceful yet a learning afternoon. During our visit the local people had made a sand model a tribute to late PM Vajpayee ji. So if u visit on some occasion you might see some sand art too on te beach.

Evening it was time to visit the Trivenisangam, here the three sea meet eachother the Arabian sea, Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal. A Orange flag is set up at this point as a tribute to the great legendary king Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and a mark of Hinduism. The people over here have a great respect. If you are from Maharashtra especially Satara they will respect and help you a lot as we had been. You get to see the best sunset at the same spot and thus, with legs in sand and water seeing the sunset makes you feel more refresh.

Thus, after this we captured the beautiful memories of this place and moved back to the hotel. Packed the bags and back to the railway station and then the next morning back to Thanjavur.

Note: for the students this trip is worth enjoying. Also you can visit the was museum if you have extra buck in your pocket. Prefer travelling in local transport it will be cost reducing and more fun.
