Rugged landscape, wild fjords, cute gingerbread villages, stormy weather, spectacular coastal drives, suicidal sheep, cute puffins and pristine wilderness, I just described this hidden gem located in between Iceland and Denmark. Faroe Island (FO) was in my travel list for the past 4 years and this birthday, I tried my luck and booked my tickets, travelled solo and made memories for this lifetime.
I did some general research for the past 4 years and learned few fun facts: FO, literally means the Sheep Island, there are islands with no inhabitants and currently being experimented with sheeps, land of cute Puffins, Torshavn- the smallest capital, not a part of Schengen visa (that was a bummer!).
