The journey to Gangtok can be completed via Siliguri by road in a bus, shared cab or reserved cab.I prefer going by a car because that means you can stop at any picturesque location and click as many pictures as you like. This is a picture taken on the way to Gangtok in the outskirts of Silguri away from the hustle bustle of the town.

#Food at Siliguri
Here at Siliguri we ate at a place called Sona Pure veg which was delight to our taste buds
From Siliguri again there are 2 routes available to go to Guwahati. Based on the recommendation from local people, we took the way via Alipur duar as everyone suggested that road is better on this route. Hence, after spending this day in bike servicing, around 5 in the evening we started for Alipurduar.
The first leg of the journey was from Delhi to Siliguri by flight and then from Siliguri to Thimpu by car ( this included the night halt at Phuentsholing on the Bhutan border). As we drove from Siliguri to Jaigaon, on the Indian side of the India Bhutan border we passed tea estates and forests. There was a raging forest fire which we passed as we drove through the area. It gave the drive that extra edge as we drove through a smoky haze as the sun dipped on the horizon.
