By Road:- Dehradun is just 250 km away from Delhi, If you are planning for a road trip, then it will be a good decision as the road is in pretty well condition and the view is fascinating. You can book a cab or take your personal vehicle or use public transport (Bus). Many buses operate on this route on daily basis from the Kashmere gate bus stand to the Dehradun bus stand. It will take up to 6 - 8 hrs and cost you around 300 - 700 per person (From 1 side).
Talking about personal vehicles, you can take your's or can book a cab. It will take up to 4 - 5 hr and cost you around 2500 - 8000 (From 1 side). The road trip has been always an attraction for youngsters and travelling enthusiasts.
By Train:- Dehradun has its own railway station called Dehradun railway station. It connects all the major cities of north India to Dehradun and is the most economical way to travel. It will take up to 6 - 10 hrs and cost you around 130 - 1900 per person (From 1 side). A journey by train is itself an exceptional journey.
By Air:- Dehradun also has its own airport named Jolly grant airport, Uttrakhand's largest airport. Flight from major cities like Delhi and Mumbai fly via this airport on regular basis. there are prepaid taxis available from the airport to Dehradun city. It will take around 1hr and cost you around 2600 - 7800 per person (from 1 side).

Day 1
Reach Dehradun by 10:00 am

You can start your journey from the marvellous forest research institute which is 6 km away from Dehradun railway station. This premier institute is established in the year 1906 & spread over 4.5 square km. This is a magnificent tourist attraction of Dehradun. This beautiful campus and its developed infrastructure attract many filmmakers like the student of the year. you can spend 1-2 hrs starring at the beauty of this masterpiece.
Then head towards the robber's cave which is 9 km away from Dehradun railway station. This is the perfect tourist spot amidst the natural beauty of Dehradun and is a must visited site according to the tourists. One can spend 2 - 3 hrs in this extraordinary beauty between nature and forest. You can also have some meals here.
Malsi deer park near robbers cave is also a good picnic spot where you can spot two horn deer, tiger, Neel Gai, peacock and other animals in their natural habitats. You can spend 1 - 2 hrs with wildlife.
After seeing 3 of the major attraction of our first day you can see some local attractions like the Clock tower, Mall road and Ram rai gurudwara or if you are tired then you can end your first day with breathtaking memories of FRI, Robbers cave and deer park and head toward your hotel.

After a relaxing morning in the Winter Capital, start your second day with more refreshing tourist spots.
In the morning we all think about taking a bath, so let's take bath in the lap of nature. WE are in Dehradun a place full of beautiful nature. Our first destination for today will be sahastradhara. This is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Dehradun situated 17 km away from the city. These sulphur-rich waterfalls give relief to our body and refresh our mind, it is believed that the water has the medical advantage and is very good for the skin. You can spend 2 to 3 hrs easily bathing in the cold and refreshing water and memorising the view of the surrounding.
Next, you can go trekking, there is various trekking route from easy to hard difficulty. You can select your rough as per your convenience, if you want to spend some time with nature then trekking is the best option in Dehradun and can easily spend about 3 to 4 hrs getting busy with nature.
Now you are left with these small attractions which you cant complete on day 1 like the clock tower, mall road, etc.
Here we will end our journey with a beautiful view of the Himalayas and nature "Fir Milinge" and head towards your convenient mode of travel for Delhi.
