Our first stay out of the city was hosted by Country Inn by Radisson in Sector 12, Gurgaon. After a lot of thought and research we narrowed our stay here based on the photos uploaded.
Regarding the location of the property, one can have mixed views. Ours prima facie reaction was very shocking as the map showed us the way from the backside of the hotel which was kind of a rural area and we couldn't figure out if there was a hotel here or not. Thankfully, once we reached the front of the hotel we were relaxed a bit. The property doesn't give a lavish hotel from the outside but the moment you enter the property, the outside world doesn't matter.
Our check-in was planned at around 2pm but we reached the hotel by 1pm and the manager, Mr Mayank, was kind enough to give us an early check-in without any extra charges. The check-in took some time but our requests were adhered to and rooms allotted accordingly.
Coming to the rooms, they were just splendid. You will not get a view though from most of the rooms as the hotel is stacked between two tall buildings, but taking in consideration only the interiors, we were in love with the rooms.
The beds were clean and super comfy, room seemed hygienic and was sanitized before we entered, the basic toiletries were available and finally the washroom, though being a tad small, still had a 6 foot long bathtub! We were just glad that we chose this hotel for our stay! The room service was also decent.
They had a buffet for breakfast but despite having multiple options, the food needs attention. It might have been a one time thing owing to the lack of staff and other issues being faced by the hospitality sector but the only thing we asked for a refill was tea and masala omelete.
Our check-out was also very smooth with again, Mr Mayank handling our check-out procedure. A special mention of thanks for being adjusting to our requests and ensuring we have a comfortable and mesmerizing stay altogether.
Overall, the rooms are brilliant, the service is good, some parts of food need attention else and this place doesn't burn a hole in your pocket! Definitely coming back for sure!
