Day 1

Well...i always had curiosity about pune..had heard so many things especially about weather and crowd..and my first and only visit to pune was purely serendipity...me and my friend headed from mumbai to lonavala for trip...the bus was suppose to be till lonavala only as per our knowledge. The bus stopped at lonavala stand ( we knew as this was our second lonavala trip) and conductor announce to come back to bus after half and hour as it was rest point as well...we thoght that it will drop us to other lonavala stand as it was suppose to terminate at lonavala itself.. and we sat back in bus after half n hour..bus started and continued for sometime..this thing created sort of curosity so we just checked gps maps and it was showing that bus is heading towards pune..we were kindof shocked..we didnt got any idea when bus route rescheduled to pune..we discussed with conductor..he said that lonavala stand was point only where bus stopped and bus will go till pune..then he said he will drop us to some nearby place and we can take bus back to lonavala..but we didnt felt comfortable with this idea as we were somewhere in middle of highway..then idea clicked that lets go to pune as last stop of bus was pune railway station and we planned that we will come back to lonavala via local train which was approx 1.5 to 2 hrs journey ( we had prior booking there else we would have stayed in pune only overnight )..as soon as we reached pune railway station, we thoght to explore the place abit and like this finally my wish to stand below clouds of pune came true..we reached in afternoon but still weather was pleasant..and it remains pleasant always..big thing for a delhite...we decided to visit place near railway station only and we went to very fanous fort - 'Shaniwar Wada' where shooting of bajirao mastani was done..fort has huge history associated with it..lots of stories are said about place including haunted story in full moon night..place was decently crowded and we roamed there for approx 1-1.5 hrs..pleasant weather made experience better in this historical monument..

Then we went back to railway station, catched local for lonavala and like this pune evening became pleasant surprise for lifetime..
