Dragging ourselves out of the bed at 1:30 am in the morning wasn't an amazing feeling but considering what was in store for us when we reach the top of the magnanimous Haleakala got us moving.
It took us about one and half hours to drive from Kahului to the top of Haleakala. The drive was beautiful with steep turns while we were driving to the top of the mountain. The sides were fluffs of clouds that danced in all the early morning Glory.
At about 2:30 am we reached the top of the mountain and to our utmost surprise, found the gorgeous and stunning milky way galaxy , lined up straight the Haleakala observatory. That view was absolutely breathtaking and made me appreciate the beauty of mother nature.
The clock struck 3am, and we saw a whole lot of people joining us to witness the extraordinary sunrise the world claims about. I wouldn't deny, it was worth waking up that early. The crimson hues spread across the entire skyline, scattering the light through eternity, beautifully lighting up our gleaming eyes. With time, the blue colour of sky burst out through the redness of the sky and it was a defining moment. Enjoy the visuals of the 🌞
With the mesmerizing sunrise witness, we decided to delve into the beauty of sunset at the top of Haleakala. We left Kahului around 3 pm and reached out pickup spot around 4:15pm. We signed up with an agency to witness the sunset and stargaze afterwards. We were provided with warm jackets, chairs, hot cocoa and amazing company. Sipping hot cocoa, we placed our chairs on the side of the bending road at the top of the mountain to watch the sun go down. The clouds provided a gorgeous view of the skyline and a variety of colors danced across the sky to our awe. It is remarkable how gorgeous the view was!
We cuddled ourselves with the dainty rays of the sun and absorbed it with all the beauty it had to offer. Sunrise and sunset definitely gives you a different perspective of appreciating the beauty of nature and our experience was no different. Grateful for the journey and the company 🥰
Well we couldn't get enough of Haleakala! We decided to witness the sunrise yet again and this time we decided to go down to the Visitors Center and witness the rays of the sun fall on the gorgeous volcanic mountains! And it was an incredible sight for us to be honest . The beautiful reddish brown mountains gleamed with the shining rays of the sun. The land got literally lit with the sunrays in the most impeccable way.
We stood there witnessing the beauty of sunrise and stretching a curve across our faces whole appreciating the little things in life.
Haleakala is definitely the most beautiful place where we witness probably the most gorgeous , incredible and heavenly sunrise. Sunrises gives us the hope that amidst all the darkness , there's always something to look forward to, something that would light up your life in a way that you would cherish it forever. Would definitely encourage everyone out there to appreciate the beauty of nature and travel for your soul.
