 Bodhgaya is a village in Bihar. It was where Prince Siddhartha attained enlightenment. It is the most revered of all Buddhist sacred sites in India.It is the most popular destination for the tourists and Buddhist pilgrims who come here for prayer and meditation. The best time to visit Bodhgaya is Novemeber to March and the high season is December.

This is the tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment. Presently, the tree is the fifth succession of the original tree.

This temple was declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2002. It is spread over the area of 4.8 hectares and the total height of the temple is 170 ft. It stands in the east of the Bodhi Tree. The chatras on the top of the temple symbolize the sovereignty of religion.

Visiting Great Buddha Statue is a required stop on your trip to Bodhgaya. The height of the statue is almost 82 feet. It is a wonder in itself.

It stand out for its unique appealing appearances. It was built by the king of Thailand in 1956. The architecture is traditional Thai. The bronze statue of Buddha is the main attraction of this temple.
