Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is a 67.56-acre (27.3 ha) zoo in the town of Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal. Don't count it as a regular zoo which you visited till now. This is the only specialized Zoo in the country and is internationally recognized for its conservation breeding programmes of Red Panda, Snow Leopards, Tibetan Wolf and other highly endangered animal species of Eastern Himalaya.
Himalayan Zoological Park was established on 14th August, 1958 in Darjeeling (West Bengal). Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park falls under the category of small zoos as per Central Zoo Authority's classification but is the largest high altitude zoo in the country (India).
There are many attractions in the zoo which you can enjoy including features like regular zoo. Dancing Himalayan Bear, Red Panda, Snow Leopards, Tibetan Wolf and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute are few major attractions inside the zoo.
Weather in the zoo is like day dream. Clouds flying behind you, foggy like clouds will comes anytime & pour with his all water on you. So always keep bigger umbrella, which I also brought there with you.
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute as well as Bengal Natural History Museum that are located in the same compound. And you don't have to pay anything extra, it's all including.

Best Time to visit: Any time is best time to visit this zoo, but winter it little chilly.
Entry fee: Rs. 60 including children, you have to pay extra Rs. 10 for camera.
