I have a special place in my heart for this amazing jungle resort. I picked Denwa Backwater Escape Resort after a lot of research. The reviews were amazing, but my experience at the resort far exceeded my expectation. The best part of the resort is the serene riverside location. Some of my favourite memories from the weekend are watching the sunset by the river, and the boat cruise from Tawa dam back to the lodge.
Arriving at Denwa Backwater Escape Resort
I felt welcomed when I first arrived and well-cared for throughout my stay. The resort was happy to accommodate my preferences for the jeep safari (I wanted to go on an early morning safari) and went out of the way to ensure that I felt looked after as a solo traveller. There was so much to do. Lots of trails, walks – Satpura National Park is a heaven for birders and wildlife enthusiasts. I even spotted a tiger on my early morning safari!
I was looking for an experience that puts me right in the lap of wilderness, and this was exactly what I got and more. I didn't want to leave! I would recommend Denwa Backwater Escape Resort to anyone who's looking for an offbeat jungle experience.
