An iconic monument and victory tower in Delhi's Mehrauli area. Built with red sandstone and marble, the grandeur and charm of Qutub Minar is unparalleled. A remarkable example of Indo-Islamic architecture, it portrays the exemplary skills of the ancient artisans. About 379 stairs spiral up to reach the top of the monument. Qutub Minar proudly occupies a place in the list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

How to reach: The nearest metro station is the Qutub Minar Metro on the Yellow line, 3 kms away from the monument. Buses and cabs are available from various parts of Delhi to reach the monument premises. You can also come by your car. There is a car parking lot, about 800 meters away from the Minar.

2. Humayun's Tomb

The winter, you must take a stroll around the Humayun's tomb in Delhi. The incredible architectural design of the tomb made of red sandstone, and the white dome are a treat to the eyes. Along with its majestic grandness, the Persian garden encompassing it adds to its charm. Completed in 1972, the structure has also been listed in UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

It is also famous for housing the stepwell, 'Rajon ki Baoli'.
