#HowToMelbourne in 1 day [Best Places of Melbourne in 24 hours]

Melbourne city in 1 day ? It sounds like a tough plan considering so many amazing places to see and exciting things to do in the City.

Let me give you a hint about an itinerary which can help you in exploring the best places of city

8 AM

Start the day by sipping a cup of coffee at Federation Square along with a sweet pastry (well that's just my choice). The view could be full of tourists or native residents running late for the work, but its worth to spend 30 minutes before you kick start the day.

If it’s your lucky day, you may see some street performance right next to the Melbourne Visitor Center.

9 AM

I hope you are pumped up with the Coffee and sugar rush, so its time to get your feet walking ;) You can spend few minutes at St. Paul’s Cathedral which is on the opposite side of the road.

10 AM

Now the day had a good start with the blessing of almighty, time to get drunk in the color of art i.e. Graffiti. Melbourne artists are notoriously known for painting the street with their imagination and the color as Graffiti art. You can walk just 300 meters from the cathedral to the ACDC and Hosier lane to witness this colorful art.

11 AM

After you have explored all the colors , it’s time to go sky High at Eureka SkyDeck. It’s just a 10-minute walk from the Federation Square and you have to cross the train underpass to follow the bridge crossing the Yarra river.

Eureka Tower Walk-through

The view from the 88th Floor is amazing, you have to buy a ticket to go up top which cost you 22 AUD.

If you want to experience the Edge (the glass cubical sliding out 6 meters out of the main building), you need to buy another ticket worth 12 AUD. Unfortunately you cant carry your bag or cameras so you live on the mercy of the photo camera to take pictures of you which you can buy later on for 15 AUD. I didn’t like the money making idea behind each experience so I decided not to buy the photo :)

You can click your photos on the open section of the building to feel the fresh air served with the best view.

One of the best place to see Melbourne ;)

12 AM

You can have lunch around the city center and relax for some time before you move to the next stop :)

2 AM

You can visit Shrine of remembrance, its just 3-4 stops away from the Federation Square using the Trams. You can pay the tribute to the soldiers contributed in the war and learn more about the world war history. There is no entry fee or tickets needed.

3 PM

You can head back to the City Center and enjoy the streets filled with shopping and food options. The streets (Flinders Street, Collins street) will be always alive with street performances and shows.

The streets are covered under the Free Tram zone. So, you can explore the streets by hopping in and out into the trams without buying any ticket or swiping a myki card.

As Flash/Light photography is prohibited at the beach so better to enjoy penguins in the dark under red lights (as red light doesn't disturb them)

You can enjoy a nice meal at a restaurant by the sea before you decide to take a final call off.

I hope you have a nice time when you visit Melbourne, feel free to comment or ask any question.
