The Kathirimalai is a mountain situated in between the Western and the Eastern Ghats of Erode District, Tamilnadu.

It is an underdeveloped hill station of about only 1100 mt altitude!

The temple or the village on top of this mountain can only be reached by trekking. If someone wants to go back to the past, they can visit such hilltops where people live in peace without the effect of modern technology.

However, technology is slowly touching them as the construction of pathways is being done nowadays.

Still, it is a worthy place for both pilgrimage and a getaway spot.

You can have an overhead view of the 1000+ sq km of green mat kinda forest the Western Ghats from the Eastern Ghats.

You will be seeing monkey on the way and if you are lucky, you might spot tuskers!

Please do not litter the forest areas and save forest life. Thanks :)
