Day 1

I boarded flight for my first foreign trip from IGI airport Delhi to samara Russia, with a stop in Moscow.

It was a sunny summer morning when I landed at Kurumoch International Airport Samara.

Russian friends picked us and we headed for an hour drive to the place where our stay was arranged.

As we reached, we freshened up and got to meet more people at the hostel where I was going to stay.

Samara is a beautiful city with beautiful Volga river and beach. Major attractions of Samara are Samara Cosmos, glory square and glory monument, kubychev square, observation point, Volga embankment, Samara state space university, etc. I visited all in later part of my first week only, after which I moved to another city.

After some rest, one of the Russians offered us to go on a walk to scenic embankment of beautiful Volga river which was quite near to our stay. We spent a nice time on the beach gossiping about cultures of India and Russia.

I also tried to go inside the river, but I took my decision back after first attempt only. Damn, it was cold as ice.

Also then we visited the glory square and the tall glory monument nearby. We took so many photographs!

I took rest during the day, and then again headed for a visit to Kubychev square with all friends in the evening. It was such a large square with an opera house and ballet theatre at the end. It was a beautiful evening, we talked a lot, danced on indian songs and again had a lot of photography. This was my first day in Russia. Over the week, I covered almost all attractions of the city. The city is a beautiful place to live and I loved my week stay so much.
