We left Bangalore on 30th Morning for Trivandrum to spend New Year on the beautiful beaches of Kerala. It costs 10k/person; half of which was because of the airfare.
After arriving at the Airport, we headed to Varkala via an Auto. The beach is ~50kms from the airport and the road is well maintained. One can reach there in 1.5 hours. This is my second trip to Varkala. Its emerald water is clean and mesmerizing and unlike Kovalam, there is not much local crowd. At the accommodation front, one can find many hotels near the beach in all the budgets starting from as low as Rs.499. Do explore Clafouti for delicious food at reasonable prices!
We spent half a day in Varkala today, before leaving for Kovalam beach where we decided to spend the first day of the New Year. We took a bus from here till Trivandrum from where we took an Auto to Kovalam.
As expected, there was too much crowd, mainly the locals and celebrations were happening at every nook and corner. The German Bakery is one nice place to explore at the beach!
Today, marked the last day here, after spending time till 1 pm, we left for the Trivandrum Airport.
This marked the end of the beautiful 2.5 days trip to the amazing beaches in God's own Abode!
