The place is just brimming with positivity. If you have to witness, the aarti reach a little early, around 5 p.m. during winter, especially as the place tends to get very crowded. The ghats have improved a lot now compared to a few years back.
In the evening, you will find a sea of people on both sides of the aarti sthal through which the river flows. And with all the diyas lit together in the dark of the night and the flowing water with all the prayers being chanted simultaneously, the entire scene is a must-watch if you are in Haridwar.
Also, you can actually get to do the aarti as well as we did. You can speak to one of the stalls at the ghats about you wanting to do the aarti, and they shall let you do it (of course, with some donations). But the whole place is one divine experience. Additionally, there are also tons of shops and markets in case you wish to indulge in street shopping. Some of these shops date back even 100 yrs old and are worth the visit.
All in all, a beautiful and divine experience that one can get at Shri Ganga Sabha. A must-visit destination and experience in Haridwar.
