On the occasion of our first marriage anniversary, my wife and I embarked on an enchanting journey to Vietnam in January 2023. This vibrant Southeast Asian country welcomed us with open arms, offering a perfect blend of pristine beaches, bustling cities, and rich cultural heritage. Join us as we take you on a captivating virtual tour of our week-long adventure, starting from the sun-kissed island of Phu Quoc, then exploring the dynamic city of Ho Chi Minh, and finally immersing ourselves in the captivating charm of Hanoi.
Phu Quoc: A Tropical Paradise:
Our Vietnamese escapade began on the picturesque island of Phu Quoc, known for its idyllic beaches and crystal-clear waters. With a backdrop of lush greenery and swaying palm trees, we found ourselves in a tropical paradise. Long Beach and Sao Beach stood out as our favorite spots, where we spent lazy afternoons sunbathing, taking refreshing dips in the ocean, and savoring delicious food.
One of the highlights of our time in Phu Quoc was enjoying our time at Sun world theme park with water park and five island tour. We used sea-crossing cable car which is World’s longest. It was mesmerizing ride from main island to Thom islet where Water park is situated, we spent 4-5 over there and it was an amazing experience. After that we went to Buddha temple in south phu quoc. One of the main attraction of Phu quoc and for night lover is night market where you can enjoy your time while sippping beer or having good food. But beware for Vegetarians like us options are limited. Although there are Indian restaurants like sher-e-Punjab , Ganesh restaurant and others which serves good food in decent price. We spent 2 nights in Phu quoc and after that we left for HCMC.

Ho Chi Minh City: A Vibrant Urban Haven:
Leaving behind the tranquility of Phu Quoc, we ventured into the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon. The city's energy was palpable as we strolled through its vibrant streets, filled with a mix of French colonial architecture and modern skyscrapers. Here we went to Bitexco tower which is the tallest building in all of Vietnam and enjoyed the view of bustling metropolis.
Next day we opted to see this beautiful city with hop on hop off bus which covered almost each and every attraction of city.
Indulging in the local cuisine was a culinary delight. From savoring delicious pho and banh mi from street stalls to enjoying exquisite Vietnamese coffee in charming cafes, our taste buds were constantly treated to a symphony of flavors. Also there are many pure veg indian restaurants which are really good.
Here we also spent 3 days and 2 nights and I think it was sufficient for take a overlook of the city.

After spending 3 days in SAIGON we moved to last city of our trip which was HANOI,
Hanoi: A Tapestry of Tradition and Modernity:
Our journey concluded in the enchanting capital city of Hanoi, where ancient traditions harmoniously coexist with modern developments. The Old Quarter, with its narrow streets, bustling markets, and ancient temples, offered a glimpse into Hanoi's rich history. We explored the vibrant Dong Xuan Market, where vibrant textiles, traditional crafts, and delectable street food enticed our senses.
Visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex was a humbling experience. Here, we paid our respects to Vietnam's revered leader, Ho Chi Minh, and marveled at the grandeur of the Presidential Palace and the serene One Pillar Pagoda.
To immerse ourselves in the local culture, we enjoyed a traditional water puppet show, a captivating art form unique to Vietnam. The performance showcased ancient legends and folklore, accompanied by live music and colorful puppets dancing on the water's surface.
After spending almost a week in Vietnam we felt that we didn't spend much time there and that was a good Bahana to go again and explore another cities of Vietnam .
