It was our first ever International trip - of course, we wanted it to be as close to perfect as possible!

We booked our flight tickets just about 2 months in advance for our trip in February & researched every little place that we could visit in Bali!

We looked up for some exciting stuffs to do there, some Instagram worthy cafés to visit & have the best time ever at a fixed budget of just Rs 45,000 including our flights from Mumbai. Bali is completely safe for female and solo travellers, you can just pick up a scooty from anywhere on rent & literally roam all around & save big.

Take a sneak peak into our Bali trip on a super cool budget.

Day 1

We reached Ngurah Rai International Airport & were heading directly to Ubud. Don't let the taxi fellows fool you with their ridiculous taxi rates near the airport, just book a taxi via the local App - Go Jek.

As soon as we entered Ubud, there was a heavy rainfall and it was flooded all over. Ubud is a small yet pretty village in Bali. You will find restaurants, home stays & hotels here at very low rates. It's pleasant, calm & the locals are very helpful.

Since it gets pretty dark her quick, we visited a nearby café for dinner and rested that day, all set to hit the city next day!

Day 2

We started off our day early with some yumm banana pancakes at our hostel. We took off on our scooty to Sacred Monkey Forest.

All set to hit the city!

Sacred Monkey Forest was huge & great! They have a minimal entry fee, but was totally worth it!

It had lakes at the entry side with enormous fishes and a pretty walkway that leads into the Monkey Forest. It was beautiful to see these monkeys in their natural habitat. However, be careful of your belongings, they love colourful and unique things and won't hesitate to snatch them from you!

After a great lunch meal at Echo Beach Club, we headed to Tanah Lot Temple which is a scenic spot where you need to cross over the water at the beach and hop on to the temple. It has a beautiful view from up there & is always filled with tourists.

We ended the evening by spending our time shopping at the Ubud Art Market. We couldn't take our eyes off the beautiful & colorful artwork made by the locals there. Always always carry cash while you go shopping here, there are tons and tons of options to choose from clothing, hippie style outfits, frames, dreamcatchers, and the best was definitely the cane bags. Don't forget to bargain yeah ;)

Day 3

We headed off really early at 6 AM in the morning as we were visiting Mt. Batur on our little bike & it was pretty far. Mount Batur is known as a volcanic mountain and I would recommend you travel here with a guide for transport & directions. We rode our scooty pretty much till it gave up ultimately. Mt. Batur is famous for early morning treks & once you reach the top, you can see clouds just floating beside you - it's a scenic view you wouldn't want to miss!

We then headed to the Tegallalang Rice Feilds in Ubud. It is the largest rice terrace in Bali & you shouldn't miss it. It's quiet a trek when you roam around there, but it's so beautiful & green!

We visited the Seminyak beach and chilled in Seminyak during the day. It was great chilling just by the beach sipping a great cocktail! We also tried some Indonesian local beer that was good!

We visited a café nearby that had great artwork with some colorful highlights all over. It was totally Instagram Worthy!

Day 4

We headed early as we were traveling far today. Next up was Nusa Dua - a beautiful beach that ideally has two shores & a temple between the two. Nusa Dua means 'Two Islands' where it's literally two islands clamped together. The beach definitely is secluded, clean, blue & jaw-dropping beautiful!

Last up, we headed to Padang Padang beach which is a secluded beach in Bali with very few tourists. There's a little walk to get here, but it's great. This beach has alot of sea weed growing here &you have to walk downside to reach there.

Day 6

We headed to this beautiful place to see the waterfall! You have to trek a bit to get to the waterfall but it's worth all the efforts. After quiet a while of walking on the hill, we could see the beautiful waterfall with a rainbow. You can totally go near the waterfall and even sit below it! It was a great experience to see a rainbow just beside us.

Towards the exit, there's also a very pretty hot water springs. Don't forget you get right in there. Trust me, you'll feel so relaxed & free.

We ended our day with an amazing dinner at Rock Bar, Bali. It's a beautiful restaurant located by the beach side at Ayana Resort - the sunset view from here is to die for!

Day 7

We ended our trip in Kuta! We chilled by our hotel & visited the beach nearby. We shopped around a little & tried some great Indonesian food. We also visited a club nearby that had just an entry free with food & drinks on the house! It was a huge buffet with cocktails and mocktails at the counters.

It was fun dancing all night & we headed to our home the next day.

Things to remember:

1. Download the local cab Application, Google translate App & the Google Map for Bali

2. Be prepared to starve if you are a Vegetarian (Carry your food)

3. Take a local SIM card for emergency, it doesn't cost too much

4. Carry a raincoat at all times, the weather is very very unpredictable

5. Bargain well at all local shops & definitely buy some great mementos for your loved ones

Lastly, save big by riding your bike all around, staying in pretty hostels and shopping!
