To Be Continued

Tripoto

Dining out options in Bangalore are aplenty and there are new places opening everyday. To stand out in the crowd, a quirky name is a boon and so it's no surprise that we have a restaurant named To Be Continued (TBC) at HSR Layout in Bangalore. It's claim to fame is an open air roof top dining area - a sky lounge, an ideal hangout considering the salubrious weather in the city.

But currently the city is baking in the summer heat; the evenings however are cool and so on our Sunday afternoon at TBC, we chose to sit indoors and gave the sky lounge a miss. The interiors were colourful; no air-conditioning though. The place was kept cool by pedestal fans and a generous amount of indoor plants giving a feeling of cool green.

And as you sip into a cool drink, all is well. On all days, there is Happy Hour with 2+2 on select drinks from all categories.

The food we ordered included a Mirchi Bhajji (a chilli fritter) with mint chutney, was good; Shami Kebab with the mint chutney was lip-smacking too. For the main meal we tried Penne Arrabbiata (we actually ordered a Penne Alfredo, but the waiter brought us the red sauce variety, we protested; but then the waiter begged to differ; we didn't want to cause a scene, so Penne Arrabbiata it was) and General Tso's Chicken with veg fried rice.

As we happily tucked in the food, the place was filling up fast. A glance up and saw a chandelier resembling bicycle tyres hanging from the glass roof - was nice !! A happy place, seemed quite popular by the crowd seen on the Sunday afternoon.
