Oh, I don't know from where should I start... hmm ok! On December 22 in 2018, I won an amazing trip to Bhutan from TRIPOTO itself and after many rescheduling of the dates for the trip, we finally landed for 27 April to 2 May. I was so excited about the trip as it was my first international trip. Some percentage of my excitement got eliminated when I got to know that airfare was not included in the free trip. Anyways, Checked for the flights to Bhutan and found only 2 Bhutani airline tickets which cost 22k per person! I got Drowned as I am just 17 years old.

So now Imagine you are a 17-year-old teenager who won a trip without airfare and the flight tickets cost 22k pp, what would you do? yeah I know what are you thinking and I did the same :p I Went to my parents and asked them for Paisa and guess what they produced it but with a condition that they will accompany me to the trip. Ok, I told them that I don't have any problem with that but the trip was free for only 2 persons so it's not possible, they replied with "even we don't have any problem paying for ourselves and will accompany you".

By now you might be thinking what about the broken arm. Well just 7 days before we were about to start our journey my dad got in an accident and he broke his left arm. He still uses arm support and is unable to move his hand. We asked him to stay and rest in Amritsar but he denied as he wanted to see Bhutan And guess what he hiked the Tigers Nest, almost 8 km trail through a narrow and uneven path through the mountains.

We had a long journey to Bhutan which was done in parts by road, rail and air.

From Amritsar we flew to Guwahati airport. From Guwahati we had a train that took us to Falakata , a small town in West Bengal. Lastly, a road journey took us to Phuentshloing, Bhutan. But wait journey is not over yet . In Bhutan we needed to change our car. Here we met our wonderful guide and a new driver who were gonna take us to a wonderful journey to share what their beautiful country has to offer.

So we transferred the luggage and were set to travel on the roads of the Bhutan.

The journey was amazing and honestly a little tiring but they picturistic views made it absolutely worth it. We finally reached our hotel in Thimphu after 170kms long journey. We stayed at hotel Migmar.

Well next day at thimpu We went for local sightseeing to Buddha Dordenma statue, a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the

top of the Kuensel Phodrang, some other monuments and we saw Takin! The national animal of Bhutan. A mixture of Goat and a Cow. Unique!!!

Now we were headed to Paro to complete our rest of the trip. After

breakfast we transferred to Paro through a Long drive of 2 hours. we stopped the car in halfway at Tamchog Lhakhang ~ It is situated between Thimphu and Paro and it

was built in the 13th century by Thangthong Gyalpo. He is also known as the Iron bridge builder. Situated on a hill

top, we have to cross an ancient style bridge to reach the temple.

On arrival in Paro, check in at the hotel. Afternoon

visit Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. We had some rice wine over there "a traditional drink of Bhutan" also tried my hand in Archery the National sport of Bhutan! And I got the perfect shot, either way, my brother missed tho :P

after that we visited Rinpung Dzong -

Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". Dzong is a large Buddhist monastery and fortress - of the Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school in Paro District. It houses the district Monastic Body and government administrative offices of Paro Dzongkhag now.

The next day we were up at 7 am as our guide told us to be ready for the best... "THE TIGER'S NEST" also known as the Taktsang Palphug Monastery! as it is located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley in Bhutan we had to trek to it through uneven pathways made by the roots of the trees and just an inch to cross at the ending! Our whole family excluding my mom took the short path as it's more adventurous and risky to trek but after 4km when we took a break at a cafe in between my Grandfather and Dad had enough of risky trek and they continued to the simple long way but me and my brother still continued to the risky one! #adventurousbuoys. My mom decided to stay at the cafe as she was exhausted!

Finally After 2 litres of water per person, 8 km of the trek and 3 hours we were finally at the monastery, exhausted but excited we somehow reached. My dad, grandfather, and brother entered the monastery but I was stopped at the gate as I was wearing a T~ shirt and they do not allow anybody wearing without sleeves! So now you imagine my situation! "I am at the top of a hill with no extra clothes or something, my whole family are inside the monastery and I Can't enter it because of my clothes and no one around me have an extra shirt". So I waited for my granddad to return and borrowed his shirt so that I can enter the monastery! thank god he was wearing a warmer under it or else he would be showing off his muscular body to the world over there :p. Now I went into the monastery with my brother and saw various statues of Guru Padmasambhava. Every statue has a story behind it and there is a cave where Guru Padmasambhava landed with his flying tiger to meditate! I entered the sleek cave with just a 4 inch of wooden stairway! The cave was so sleek that only 1 person could enter it at a time and believe me, it was whole dark inside with barely some light and at the end of the cave, I saw the landing pad of the tiger! there was just a small painting hung over there!

ab saree trip yahin se expirience karoge kya! jaao jaakr khud dekho !!!
