If you are planning to do a trek to Dudhsagar falls, it takes 6 hours to cover the whole area. There are other ways too but be what the trek is minimum of three hours and maximum of six hours. Since it’s a water prone area, swimming is allowed, but waters are deep so you have to decide accordingly. There are jeep safaris, where you get to see lot of wild animals. Dudhsagar Devi temple, Tambdi surla temple have lovely architecture which are safe to visit with a child. You could enjoy the Railway tunnel and track walk, again it’s a long walk so depends on what you decide.
You could try Hill stations in India, which are not cold, but chill enough to keep away the summer heat. From Delhi you could plan travel to
Mussoorie- Nainital-Auli-Dharamshala-Mcleodganj -Kufri and Munsiyari. From mumbai here are some hill stations you could plan your visit-Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, Igatpuri, Matheran,Pachmarhi, Lonavala and Khandala, Lavasa, malshejghat, Rajmachi and Kolad. Srinagar-Leh-Dooars-Kalimpong-Wayanad-Kohima-Pune-Dalhousie-Nandihills and Almora. Some beaches are warm but a bit high in heat, Goa-Gokarna-Pondicherry-Lakshwadeep-Kerala beaches-Dhanushkodi-Vishakapatnam-Ganapathiphule-Maharashtra beaches.
From Kodaikanal 5 hours away is Munnar. There seems to be no direct buses and inbetween you need to either change over at Palani or at palakkad. The best way is by cab which takes 3 hours direct to reach.

There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on several factors, including the country you are traveling to, the length of your stay, and the activities you will be undertaking. However, as a general guide, you should expect to pay between $5 and $10 per day for basic travel insurance. For more comprehensive cover, you may need to pay up to $20 daily. It is always advisable to check with your travel insurer to see what cover they offer for your specific trip. I recommend getting a USAA Medicare Supplement Plans https://www.medigap.com/medicare-by-carrier/usaa/ , and you won't need to pay some additional fees.
The best time to visit Srinagar is between April to October where it’s neither cold nor too hot. Summers are ideal and apt time to visit Srinagar, for summers are not only cool but very very pleasant. You get to see lot of nature, picturesque views and participate in festivals too. Yes April is an ideal time to visit Srinagar.
From Manali it takes 4 hours to reach Chandratal lake. By June the lake opens for tourism, though if you are lucky mid May they open. So kindly recheck before travelling to Chandratal lake.
From mumbai if your are planning bike trip to south India Via Bangalore you could drive to Munnar Kerala
Via Bangalore travel towards Coorg Karnataka Via chennai you can visit Pondicherry Tamilnadu Via Bangalore travel to lambasinghi Andhra Pradesh Travel on road is for long hours, but views are good, picturesque and there are lot of places you could take a break from the journey. If you are planning towards Goa, it’s a 11hour journey where via Panvel, Lonavala Belgaum reaching Goa is easy. Travel time on road is short and you could halt at Kolhapur. With onset of summer, I would personally suggest driving to Goa is lot better than travelling to south India. For south India will be as scorching as Goa. You could plan a travel to south India especially Kerala and Karnataka after June based on the monsoons.
With ongoing summer, and with snow melting down completely, there are lot of hill stations around Delhi to explore during summer in May. Mussoorie
