Hi, Paul! Sikkim has stopped issuing Inner Line Permit to foreign nationals due to corona virus fears. If you are an Indian citizen, you won't have any problems getting ILP in Sikkim. So, yes, the current situation suggests you can visit Sikkim on the said dates. However, it is recommended that you keep an eye on the official updates regarding the same.

If you're looking for an authentic and less crowded experience in the Amazon, you might want to consider the following tips: Choose a less popular region: The Amazon is vast, and there are many areas that are less crowded and touristy. Instead of heading to the most popular spots like Manaus, consider exploring smaller, more remote towns along the Amazon River. Book with a small, local tour operator: There are many small, local tour operators that can take you on an authentic Amazon experience. Look for companies that have a sustainable approach and are committed to protecting the environment and local communities. Choose a slower pace: Rather than trying to cram in as many activities as possible, opt for a slower pace and spend more time in one area. This will give you a chance to immerse yourself in the local culture and observe the wildlife in a more natural setting. Go during the low season: The Amazon is less crowded during the low season, which is typically from December to May. The weather may be wetter during this time, but you'll have more of the region to yourself. Be flexible: The Amazon is a dynamic environment, and things can change quickly. Be prepared to adjust your itinerary as needed and be open to unexpected experiences. With these tips in mind, you can plan a trip to the Amazon that is both authentic and less touristy.

Well I guess you probably know how to take precautions during this outbreak... the question is will you be able to enjoy your time with freedom of mind, without having such concerns. If no than you definitely should visit. if "yes" than you should reconsider it. Because you don't want your holidays to be spent in fear of some deadly spreading virus.

Do not combine Leh and Spiti. Spiti by itself needs around 6-7 days. As for Leh, there are enough rentals available in the town itself, ensure you get a relatively new motorcycle. If you still want to visit Spiti, you need to head to Manali from where you can either rent a motorcycle or a taxi. Motorcycles/taxis from Leh aren't allowed in Himachal Pradesh. 1. Itinerary for Leh: Leh (2 nights) - Nubra valley (2 nights) - Panamik (optional) - Pangong (1 night) - Leh - Tso Moriri (optional) - Leh Recommending 2 nights in Leh so you get acclimatized to the height considering you will be directly flying there. Also you need a day to apply for ILP and the other day for local sighseeing. You can stay in Nubra for 1 night only if you don't plan on visiting Thang (LOC). But it may not be enough if you are unfortunate to encounter landslides on the way, hence 2 nights. 2. You need a BSNL postpaid sim card in Leh, none of the others work. You can buy the sim card in Delhi, usually will take a day to get activated.
