All I can think of right now is Gokarna or any of the coastal towns like Karwar. Both the places have pristine beaches. Gokarna is famous for its laid back lifestyle and tanquility. In Gokarna there are 3 famous beaches - Om,Kudle and Gokarna town beach along with paradise and half moon beach. The latter two can be reached either by boat through the sea or by trekking .This is kind of off season in Gokarna so the beaches will be deserted, some foreign tourists might be spotted though. For best experience stay in one of the shacks in Kudle beach.

I think you should go to mussoorie to beat the summer and you can relax there otherwise if you wants an adventures trip then you must try Rishikesh
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
You can either go for 'Goa' or 'Rishikesh & Dehradun'
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
If you plan in a right way, and take train for traveling, you can visit "Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar"; "Jammu and Vaishno Devi trip"; and "Shimla" for 3 days. I'd travelled all these three localities with 4 members of my family in just 20-25k for each trip.

Nepal and Bhutan, I believe

Bhutan and Nepal ...valid government identity card is good....a year back there was the news that Nepal will make passport necessary for indians.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Government bus would be much better option... it cost just 60 rupees from dehradun to musoriee... it's cheapest convenience cabs will be too expensive
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
It would take 1 and a half hour to reach Mussoriee from Dehradun from bus and would cost around INR 45-60. However if price is not a major concern you can go for taxi for a more comfortable trip and that would cost you between INR1000-1200 , shared taxis can cost you a bit cheaper though.
