I would advise you not to use a bus, but to try a business class flight https://voyagu.com/destinations/business-class-flights-to-africa-uganda/ This flight time is shorter and very comfortable. This is the only way I fly now.

If you are solo traveler ,the best thing is to explore the places by urself or if u have group with same enthusiasm invade new place.if you are planning to travel with family to a unknown/new place better to have a guide since it is a new place,,, But with proper research of the place and confidence u can explore by urself.

Explore on own is much better then trip planner because you can do some offbeat thing and the same usual things at the same time in trip planner they have some fix things to do list you will never explore new things but ya if you like to meet new people and group thing you can go with trip planner!
